The first ten miutes are very funny then the film just goes downhill and never really gets much better again. I remember laughing alot whilst watching Shrek 1 & 2 but, I found Myself waiting for something to be funny in Shrek 3. The story is very weak and they don't make good use of Donkey or Puss. Young children still might enjoy this but not many adults will which is a real shame. I have Shrek 1 & 2 on dvd I won't be buying this one. Rent before you buy please or you might regret it.

 This years biggest... LETDOWN

Lets get this straight, Shrek 1 + 2 are 2 of the funniest animated films of recent years that hasn't come out of the Pixar machine!
Shrek 3 is completely different. After getting his happily ever after twice already, did we really need to see him get it again (and again... oh yes Shrek 4 in 2009).
No is the answer, the plot is a pathetic re-hash of the first 2 films, the new characters are extra baggage and the film focuses so much time on Shrek and Fiona that the films funny elements (Puss and Donkey) get lost in the void.
Kids will love it, but in an attempt to make the film child-orientated the makers have forgotton to put in stuff for the sdults. a few of the jokes are mildly amusing but their is no getting away from the fact that, on the whole Shrek 3 is a sloppy mess!

The film had the odd funny joke but the rest of the film was lost. The film felt incomplete/Rushed and a terrible end to the triolgy. I recomend renting it, not buying it!

 More like Shrek The "Turd!!!"

The television review's stated that it was the biggest comedy of the year and the best one yet, what lies.
An awful sequel, a couple of moment's made me giggle very breifly, but apart from that it was a complete bore of a film. I enjoyed Shrek 1 and 2 and enjoy other kid's/animation films, but this was a complete waste of money.

 Nothing on the first 2!!

Went to see this with my girlfriend and her little sister and if they hadn't been there I would have left. Maybe 2 averagely funny jokes in the whole thing with the rest being completely boring. Unlike the first 2 films where the jokes were often aimed at all ages this film felt really childish and aimed at making young kids laugh, not their parents. Nothing like the first two and not at all worth seeing.
