Unshackled by the safety monitors of Hollywood Jackie Chan returns to old school hard action!
As the leader and sole survivor of a disastrous mission, where his entire team is killed by a bank-robbing gang of fashion-trash punks, Inspector Wing (Jackie Chan) is racked with guilt and falls into a drunken stupor.
Faced with this debilitating despair, can his idealistic, young new partner (Nicholas Tse) pull him out of his doldrums and bring the gang to justice? Can he still go mano a mano with a kid half his age?
With a young supporting cast of HK idols (Charlie Yeung and Charlene Choi of Twins pop fame in particular), Jackie Chan gets to flex his acting muscles as much as his high-kicks in a darker and broodier thriller than the typical Hong Kong actioner which still boasts plenty of ridiculously entertaining (and dangerous) physical and motor stunts!

Just watched it, and loved every second of it, Jackie Chan back on form in the kind of movies that made me love him and his performances in the first place.
Nicholas Tse, this guy is very good in his role as the partner to Chan, which was surprising as he was coming from a career in Pop music, I honestly didn't have high hopes from him in that role, but he surprised me.
The villains are great, you really believe that they are the crazy and disturbed gang that they are portrayed to be, I also felt the plot stood strong for the entire length of the movie which is a bonus as not all HK flicks have the plot to withsand a full movie.
Overall, very good film, with Chan back on Top form after some cringeworthy films such as the Tuxedo.
5/5, Definitly recommended.
Thumbs Up

Not the most realistic film ever to hit the screens, but certainly one of the best. Different for the origional police story films but just as good. Worth a view definitely
