Like so many, had this not have been on the GCSE curriculumn, I would not have read the book or seen the film. It is one of my favourite films. I read and watched it at school and also went to see it at the theatre on a school trip, was truly amazing! This film is a must buy!

I actually bought this DVD for my daughter who was studying it for her GCSE's. I had never seen it before and thought I would watch it too. Wow, what a fantastic movie. I was engrossed from beginning to end.
Well worth the money!

this is probably the most amazing book-film ever made not many directors can transform a book into a film with immense precision but it must be said this film is a classic the end makes me cry all the time the most fantastic story of friendship i have ever watched you have to read the book and watch the film to appreciate the greatness of it and also mix in some empathy fab film must see !!!!!!!!!

I never watched a more boring movie in my life. I studied it in English like many other people, but i couldn't see a good part of it. Nothing happened plus the fact that most of it was not mentioned in the book, which i like.

gary sinise has taken john steinbeck's 'of mice and men' and made it beautiful. the contrast of light and dark in this film is amazing. although it misses out key parts that the book has, it still is amazing. the acting in this film shows the struggle and hope of some of the men at the ranch. the man who plays lennie really does him justice as a big bear like image. the film show has an unexpected twist which the viewer wouldnt see happening. the ending makes you think about how love and friendship can affect people's discussions to do things for people they truely care about. the film represents the current issues that were happening around the time the book was written and how the fight for freedom and to live the american dream can be crushed within the space of four days.
i have loved studying this at gcse, its been real 'of mice and men' ;)
