A revenge movie, The Crow is one of the very few comic book adaptations that actually works, and boy, does it work! A Gothic visual treat, the film has huge amounts of style and is nothing short of a dark, haunting masterpiece. Little wonder the film has such a cult following. Lee is superb, and in some way the film seems very apt as an epic tribute to the remarkable up and coming actor, struck down in such a tragic way. At this price you really should not be without this DVD!

 Classic Crow

This is simple one of the best comic book movies ever made. Sadly most remembered for the death of Brandon Lee, this movie is so much more. Gothic and moody this film looks every bit like the graphic novel, Alex (I Robot) Proyas has simple taken the novel and made it into a film and it looks beautiful. Just because it's Brandon Lee don't think its some dumb fighting film, it's a beautiful, sad, mesmerising and haunting film. This is how you adapt a comic book, brilliant.

The Crow is a amazing low budget comic book adaption, but the budget does not restrict the vision of darkness, as The director makes every scene count.
The late Brandon Lee was a megga star in the making, much like his father, but the guy shows he was a very good actor in this his last role, after a stunt went wrong on set and killed him. It's the death of the rising star on the set of the film that gives the film a real emotional punch. But even without this the film would be a outstanding tail of supernatural vengeance.
The film drips gothic over tones and menace in the rain soaked settings. The action is brutal with a amazing john Woo style shoot out that manages to visually surpass the films limited budget.
This is one of the best graphic novel adaptions ever brought to screen, and is proof that you don't need over two hundred million dollars to create a classic comic book movie ( The bloated Spider-Man 3 take note!)
Brutal and brilliant and darker than the Bat!

A fiiting tribute to the late, great Brandon Lee...

Sadly overshadowed on its cinematic release by the death of its star Brandon's memory lives on in this outstanding comic book adaptation. Lee simply ignites the screen as Eric Draven brought back from the grave to avenge his and his girlfriends untimely death. The themes of the film take on an even darker tone in retrospect but bring a real spiritual beauty to what has often been passed off as a typical comic book adaptation. Exciting, action packed but also very character based and utterly heartbreaking The Crow is a film that will linger long in the mind. Like his father before him Brandon Lee will be sadly missed. Celebrate his memory with this classic film...
