A fun, adventurous romp: Sex and the City 2 brings it all back and more as Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda take another bite out of The Big Apple and beyond, carrying on with their busy lives and loves in a sequel that truly sparkles. What happens after you say "I do"? Life is everything the ladies ever wished it to be, but it wouldn't be Sex and the City if life didn't hold a few more surprises, this time in the form of an exotic adventure where the party never ends and there's something mysterious around every corner. It's an escape that comes exactly at the right moment for the four friends, who are finding themselves in and fighting against the traditional roles of marriage, motherhood and more. After all, sometimes you just have to get away with the girls.

One star because I can't award zero

If you're a serious film buff, or even just love the series, you need to see this movie to appreciate just how good the series actually is. And how bad movies can be. This is atrocious. I don't want to understate that - this is really really bad. Liza Minelli singing/dancing ala Beyonce, and it goes downhill from there. You have been warned...

 Just plain bad

The new movie is just an exercise in self indulgence and complaining about problems that aren't really problems. Charlotte complaining about how hard it is to be her when she has a nanny AND a housekeeper. Miranda complaining that her boss doesn't like her. Carrie complaining that Big puts a TV in the bedroom. Samantha complaining about her hormones. I just kept thinking "are you kidding me?? This passes for dialogue??". That's all in the first 8 minutes and it's just downhill from there. I'm just disgusted.

 Loved it

I am a huge Sex & The City fan and having watched and adored the first movie, eagerly awaited the sequel and read bad reviews, I was worried that I might be disappointed but I absolutely loved it. Unlike the first film, there is no big drama or major plot, it just focus's on the girls and their friendship but with all the usual fashion and high quality laughs. I wasnt disappointed in the slightest and my Sex & The City bubble remains intact. I cant wait for the DVD to be released so I can add it to my collection :-)

 So disappointing

Firstly, I would like to state that I am HUGE fan of the series, I've seen them all over and over again, I watch at least 1 every day (yes I know that's sad).. I've also seen the first film copious amounts of times and I love it.

Like another reviewer wrote, I was so excited about seeing this and pre-booked my cinema seat weeks in advance but was so disappointed with this film. The acting was WAY over the top, their outfits (although fabulous) were just SO over the top.. they're in designer gear and heels on a camel at one point?!

In the series, although they are glamourous, they're still pretty normal and you can relate to them. Every one knows that Samantha is a sexual tyrant, but her behaviour in the film is so far fetched and I couldn't imagine a smart sophisticated woman like her would actually behave the way she did.. again, so OTT!

The thing I love most about the series and the first film is that its quite true to life and you can really relate to the characters and what they go through and the different things that happen. But this second film has none of that as far as I'm concerned!! I was SOOOOOO disappointed!

 SATC 2......................AMAZING xxxxx

I must be the biggest SATC fan ever. I watched this brilliant film 10 times. I went every night it was on in my local cinema. The press gave it a rough ride when it was released but if you are an ardent fan then you will love it. I never want the whole SATC experience to end. Bring on the next xxx 10/10
