Srsly, I'm so tired of reading what people thought about the films. If I wanted to know about that, I'd go to some review site. What I want to know about is this boxed set, and if it's any good compared to others.
Anyway, the short answer is: yes, it good.
It contains three slimcases, which I'm not a great fan of, but in this case I think it's a plus. The box looks really sleek and pretty like this, and the slimcases do their job as discholders I guess.
This set includes the special 2dvd editions of all three movies, which is pretty good if you don't own those yet. Also, I think it includes the X-Men 1.5 version of X-Men 1, which was a very cool edition due to many extra...extra's.
All in all, this looks really great, and for this price you should definitely get it.
The only problem is that it's cardboard (obviously) which makes it VERY prone to bend/break a bit.
im a big fan of x-men i loved the cartoon as a kid and x-men evolution as well so here is what i think of the 3 movies
x-men: this movie is great , its the 1st one so it lets you to get the charters more from the love triange between scott logan and jean, and the rivaly of the scott and logan....good plot and story **** (4)
x-men2: WOW best in the trilogy , open scene is amazing , in this movie you get to know about logans past how he was "made" so much action and new mutants ...***** (5)
x-men 3: ok now this is were it went down hill after singer left ...i was looking forward to this ...scott is my fav x-men and what they do .only in it for 10 min....i mean storm gets the mansion come on like thats so stupid...spyke storms nephew is a bad guy..juggernut is not a mutant and leech takes his power which shoudnt have happened ...the chemisty between logan and rouge which is bulid up in the 1st two movies is gone...bobby and rouge love thing is away cause kitty takes over .....colossus is not american he is russian ..did bret even read the comics ..aslo jean always died in scotts arms not logans and in the 1st two movies logans healing powers wernt stright away they healed a few seconds after this one when jeans is using her powers he healing like mad ....** (2) and thats being kind
overall a good triogy be even better if singer did the 3rd movie
This is a great box-set, two out of the three movies are good and one is brilliant!
For better or worse the first movie set the trend of all the new wave of Marvel comic book to movies.
X-Men 2000
This is a brisk introduction to the world of mutants. Wolverine ( Hue Jackman steals the show) Storm ( Halley Berry) does little.
This is more like a trailer to the much better and bigger instalment of X2. The film has a short running time but does entertain, with it mutant battles, and the opening sequence of the film in the concentration camps of WW2 makes you pitty and understand the lead villain Magnito ( the brilliant Ian Mckellan)
A good start!

X-MEN 2 2003
This is much better than the first, all the characters are flushed out better, and love triangles start to appear with Logan and Gray. The action is alot bigger and boulder, but the story pushes this film along.
This is a great comic book movie that is dark enough and violent enough for adults to enjoy as well, and the cliffhanger ending is brilliant.

X-MEN 3 THE LAST STAND 2006
With the first two films director (Brian Singer) leaving to direct the fantastic Superman Returns, the film is handed over to the director of the Rush Hour Trilogy.
The problem is, the original director understood the characters, and the set-up to what was planned as a rousing conclusion. With the new director, the conclusion feels very rushed, as with the death of Cyclops. Main characters depart on a whimper and not the bang they should, even the ending seems rushed, as to what was supposed to be a brilliant battle of mutants. But there are some amazing action scenes, and Logans choice at the end is very well handled.
Part 3 is far from a bad film, it just has such a hard time standing in X-MEN 2's shoes.

A great box-set,at a good price. It's just a shame X-MEN 3 ended this trilogy as it does.
Let's get this straight, X-Men 3 was NEVER going to live up to the first two installments. As soon as Bryan Singer left the franchise it was doomed. And when Brett Ratner climbed on board all hope seemed lost. Which is why I was pleasantly suprised that, whilst easily the weakest of the trilogy, there was still much to enjoy. Sadly, not enough to hide the fact that too many characters and not enough character plus Vinnie Jones hideously miscast as Juggernaut (just writing this makes me cringe) meant that the trilogy ended with more of a whimper than a bang. Still the first two, especially X2, remain perfect examples in how to adapt the comics successfully and this 6 disc set certainly doesn't skimp on the extras with hours of behind the scenes footage, interviews and commentaries. If only Briyan Singer hadn't jumped ship we could be looking at one of the greatest trilogies yet....
Release yourself in the glory that is X-men. Spawned from the old comic books and television series, X-men has become a multi-million pound industry which is headed by three of the greatest comic book films!
X-men 1
Starts the story and introduces the characters in a peralles quest to save society from near certain doom with Magneto at the helm. Brilliant film classic which brought the long awaited X-men film in with a storm!
X-men 2
Carrys on the adventure but this time discover the roots of where Wolverine came from and what he and many other mutants must under go to help save all mutant kind. Another superb film which just goes beyong the first, i actually preferred this one then the first!
X-men 3
The last in the trilogy (obviously). All mutants are scripted into believeing that there is a 'cure' for their abilities. Watch as all the heroes and villians come together in a clash of the titans between X-men and the ones that wish to destroy humanity. Seriously... i have no idea how they kept the whole thing going with such good stories!!!
A brilliant boxset that lets every die-hard X-men fan watch the films over and over again. Hell! Even if your not that bothered about the films... who cares! Its cheap and they are good films so BUY!!
