Ice Age / Ice Age 2: Meltdown Doublepack

I love ice age and i dont own my own dvd so i thought i'd get the lot!
I got this Ice age 1 & 2 and then bought Ice age meltdown separately which is much cheaper than buying the box set!

This box set is brilliant, hillarious and witty, good value for money and a must buy!

there's not much to add to the title: this is high quality entertainment, visually perfect, with lots of laughs, clever jokes, good characters and very funny voice-overs by a bunch of well known actors. far out two highly recommendable cartoons

Great, what a fantastic price these dvd's are, great quality, my little'un loves them, and up till now has only seen them on the tv, with adverts, so this was a very good purchase. Cant wait for ice age 3dawn of the dinosaurs :)

These films will not fail to bring a smile to your face. they are charming and hilarious. Very rarely do we get a sequel that can compare with the first, but in this case they are both brilliant!!!

very very funny and heart warming animated movies right here i just bought this double pack the other day havent watched them again yet but ive seen them both more than once before and i love them both and 3 is about to come out in cinemas too which looks even better cant wait for that ice age is brilliant for everyone buy it!

Obviously follow ups are never as good as the first in a set!

I have loved Ice Age 1 since it was first in cinemas but only had it on the old style video tape! Decided to update to DVD, and saw this amazing value set!

Never seen Ice Age 2 before today, and although it's not QUITE as good, I would still say it was fab-tastic!

Still has the bits that make the girls cry, and the humour that makes the boys laugh!

And of course, Scrat the sabre-toothed squirrel is back!

Very funny, think all kids should grow up knowing what Ice Age is like, and at this price, there is no reason to live without it!

Excellent, I think one of the greatest animation movies of all time.
But the second one lost the star for me, it was no where near as good as the first, but easily worth a good look.
Ice Age 2 doesn't have the same quality as the first, it's not quite as funny but still has it's moments.
I probably didn't find the second as good because I was only little back then when I saw the first, and loved any cartoon, so I probably grew out of it and didn't find the childish jokes as funny.

One of the best ever of the cartoon genres,characters voiced to perfection and no matter how many times you see them you still laugh!!

The film opens with probably the best and my favourite character Scrat the Squirrel,his obsession with nuts creates havoc!!!
Sid the sloth,Manny the Mammoth and Diego the sabre toothed cat provide the main cast and together are hilarious.
The first film concentrates on the main characters,who they are and how they meet,they eventually band together to form their own herd after Diego turn from hunter to ally.
Inbetween as usual is Scrat,trying as always to collect his precious nuts,he is a scream!!!

Disc two starts-you guest it with Scrat again,he must have that nut at any cost!!
Here we see the band of brothers chilling out with the ice age comung to an end,in a lot of ways this is the better of the two films as it introduces more characters,and we meet Ellie the mammoth who thinks she's an oppossum(Don't ask!!)along with her two "Brothers"
This film made me laugh more than the first one and each of the main characters have stronger roles to play.
Overall a must own set and one that's highly recommended.
