I was surprised when I watched this film, it is indeed very good, it has a pretty fun and original storyline, the cast were all brilliant, the pacing of the movie was good, for a low budget film the effects are pretty excellent quality too. This is an enjoyable creature feature worth checking out; it's a bit like "The Descent" but out in the open instead of in a cave.
Absolutely brilliant!! Full of suspense and great effects. A real MUST SEE!
Saw this on Zone horror just the other day and I was glued to the screen, It was brilliant.should of been in cinema.
Ok I maybe a little one sided with this one... but Im going to give this film credit for setting the movie in the Philippines (however it was filmed in South Africa) having friends out in this country, I find it hard to get movies with a Filipino theme in the UK.
The story is based on Filipino folk lore, mixed with some history of when the Japanese made their mark on the country. The movie is similar to any horror where the characters get lost in the woods (well Island/Rainforest) and eventually meet their end!!!
Even though the film isnt the best horror out there, its still more watchable than most
movie opening is exciting and unique, but then nothing happens after that until about an hour later. CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP!!! really not a fan and then it just got all too wizard of oz like when the monkey shapeshifter things begin to fly...
the ending was left open for a sequel.... NO THANK YOU
