From executive producers Gael Garcia Bernal and Diego Luna comes Sin Nombre, the breathtaking debut thriller from writer/director Cary Fukunaga.

An unflinching tale of loyalty and redemption set against the harsh backdrop of modern Mexico, Sin Nombre interweaves two parallel stories; the first dealing the struggles of Sayra (Paulina Gaitan), a beautiful Honduran woman desperately trying to escape to America with her family, the second following Casper (Edgar Flores), a tough gang member placed in an impossible situation when a violent retaliation turns his gang against him.

As Sayra and Casper's paths cross on a train leading out of the country, with the gang in hot pursuit, they must rely on each other if any of them are to make it through alive.

Recipient of the Best Director and Best Cinematography Awards at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival and the Skillset New Director's Award at the 2009 Edinburgh Film Festival, Sin Nombre marks the emergence of a startling new voice in Latin American cinema.

This was withoubt doubt the best film I saw last year! Absolutely mesmerising performances from the two leads and a really exciting story!
It has everything you could possibly need: action, love, travel, gangs, and more action!

Is it realy like that in mexico ?

This story is set in a slum area of Mexico,There are two rival gangs in the story . After initiation, the more rival gang members you kill the greater respect you receive ,people clamber on the roofs of trains in an attempt to immigrate, one particular family are among some immigants that are robbed by the local gang ,a disillusioned gang member kills his leader and helps one family escape, but his former gang are out for his blood !

Just a genuinely brilliant film, maybe a wee bit short but it is 95 minutes of utter breathtakingly awesome cinema.

A genuine eye opener and a must see and indeed must own.

 Great Movie

Great film, good acting, wish it was a longer film though, it just seemed to go really quick, when i thought we was in the middle of the film, it ended which was quite disappointing. Easy film to watch and kept you suspensed till the end. A real insight to the "gang world", so anyone who likes that, should like this one.
