What makes this such a brilliant comedy, apart from John Cleese himself, is that it's so believable. We've all been there. We plan out an important event in every detail except for one thing: we forget to allow for Sod's Law!

And so it is with the hapless headmaster. Everything that can go wrong does go wrong and the harder he tries to dig himself out, the deeper he sinks - literally at one point but I won't spoil it for you! The ending is manic Cleese at his best. Watch it; you won't be disappointed.

John Cleese at his manic best, ably supported by a host of British stars, including the wonderful Alison Steadman. Many other cameo roles for British actors and you spend much of the film 'star spotting'. Important thing is that it has a good story, with characters you can identify with and some good laughs along the way. Recommended viewing for sure.

This is a very good film starring John Cleese. The story is about a headteacher running his life by the clock (see Title) with all sorts of things going on and is a must see for any Cleese fan!
Excellent film!
