'Randall & Hopkirk (Deceased)' stars Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer as the dead detective and his hapless but very much alive partner. Mad ghosts, mummified bodies, experiments that mysteriously change a person's gender; nothing it seems is beyond the perlexing world inhabited by super-sleuth characters Jeff Randle and Marty Hopkirk, aided and abetted by ghost-busting glamour girl Jeannie (Emilia Fox) and Hopkirk's mentor Wyvern (Tom Baker).

When this was first shown by the BBC I loved it mainly because I was only ten years old or something!I bought the dvds recently and was left a little bit dissapointed.Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer are rather poor actors compared to the loveable two in the original series. On the other hand Emelia Fox is superb as love interest Jeannie and is very gorgeous and sexy. It's not awful but it's not great either. 5/10

Great classic comedy for a low price

If you are a fan of Reeves & Mortimore and the gorgeous Amelia Fox then this is definitely a must. Having missed this when it was broadcast i decided to pick this up and give it another try. While die-hard fans of the original series may be dismayed with some of the acting this remains (in my opinion) a damn good fun series with alot of laughs and some impressive guest experiences (David Tennant, Tom Baker, Simon Pegg et al) Overall for the low cost Play are offering you can't go wrong. As long as you start watching with an open mind I'm sure you'll enjoy a classic piece of British humour. Enjoy!

What a brilliant series. I never saw the original but if you like reeves and mortimer or british comedy then you'll love this. It really is a great show. Well worth checking out.

A Reimaging More than a Remake, but still enjoyable

If you know any work by Reeves and Mortimer then you will no its often off the wall and wacky. They took this princible and applied it to the remake of the successful 70s TV show Randall and Hopkirk, its more over the top and strange than the original and it some places just plain weird but for a fan of Reeves and Mortimer this is a perfect way to escape a few hours
