The live shows apart from the third are simple ideas stretched beyond evan where there undoubted talents can sustain them. It's sad to see the writters of a great sit-com swearing and slamming in extra violence in a desperate attempt to, in their eyes win over the audienes of Jethro, Chubby-Brown and Bygraves, very sad.The film though is good if a little long for it's storyline.Remember it for the series folks.

I bough these DVD's years ago and i still find them helarious. They have to be the best live shows i have every seen and i have now watched them to the extent that i can quote the majority of the shows. Any one who doesn't enjoy these has no sence of humour.

I went to see the first 3 live shows, which were great to see live, and are good to watch again on DVD. The last two stage shows dont really have a plot and are just Eddie and Richie messing around on stage, sometimes remembering that there is a story to follow. As a big Bottom fan, I prefer the TV shows to the live stages shows any day and a Bottom virgin may be put off watching the TV show if their first taste of Bottom is seeing this set of DVD's. A must have addition to any Bottom fans collection, but it is a great pity that Ade and Rik didnt bow out earlier when they were at the peak of their undoubted comedy genius.
