American remakes of British shows are usually always naff, but thankfully this US redo of the modern british classic The Office is just so good in its second season it became a great show in its own right.

Steve Carrell is just great as Michael Scott, the American David Brent, only he's a bit more sophisticated and organised (just!) and he provides plenty of laughs. The dynamic between the American versions of Tim and Dawn, namely Jim and Pam are actually really nice and they work well enough you do want to see them get together. Jim's not as funny as Tim though but he is amusing, and Pam (lets face it) is cute as hell! The fact there are 22 epsiodes allows for us to invest more time and care in the characters than the UK version did. But the best thing about this show IS Dwight Shrute (a priceless hilariously brilliant Rainn Wilson) who is the US version of Gareth Keenan, he's just hilarious and provides most of the laughs in the show (one of my favs is his psyching himself up in the corridor for his appraisal while listening to rock music!).

Some of my fav episodes here include "The Dundies" where Pam cuts loose and gets drunk, "The Fight" where Michael challenges Dwight to a fight, "The Fire" where Dwight goes into overdrive when a fire starts in the office and "The Client". There's plenty of others too.

This is a great US show and its surprising to see them make so much out of the "office" situation as you think it might get tired but it hasn't yet. The Office is a very funny US comedy, and if you haven't seen Ricky Gervais US counterpart yet, check it out now.

This is so much better than the UK version, and the UK version is awesome, so that is saying alot! "The Injury" is one of the funniest episodes ive ever seen! Also look out for "Conflict Resolution"... brilliant! 10/10!

this is such a brilliant show, though hard to compare with the english one!! season three is brilliant, just waiting to get season 4. can't wait i've heard it's brilliant!!

Jesus this is too good!,It takes a few episodes to get into it (Season 1) but wow it really begins to become a program and you just love it,ive seen all 3 seasons which are on dvd and a few of season 4 and it's just an impressive program and you become attached to it!

Just buy it for "The Injury" alone! "I grilled my foot on a George Foreman grill" - priceless..... worth the year wait I had it on pre-order! Bring on more series....

This just might be the funniest comedy series ever... maybe even funnier than the original Office.

Takes a bit of getting used to, but as good as the uk shows once you do, if not better, season 3 is the best.

The best port of a UK comedy to America. I hate to say it but even better than UK version of office, writing and acting is superb. Cant wait for series 4 to continue and series 3 to be broadcast over here. Catch it on Paramount Comedy, series 1 and 2.

I recommend this series to anyone who loved or even hated the UK office. It is absolutely awesome, far far better than the first season of the US version!

I think this is on par with the UK version, though this has over 3 times more episodes and seems more of a complete DVD. I have seen them all and you really get to know the characters, which is more that the UK version did. It is so good, they ended up making Season 3 and Season 4. BUY THIS NOW!
