The Smoking Room: Series 1 & 2 (4 Discs)

I am a massive fan of British comedy which dominates my DVD collection (Only Fools And Horses, Black Adder, Faulty Towers, The Office to name a few) when my girlfriend came home with the Smoking Room series 1 & 2 from a dump bin I was not overly keen on watching it so it sat on my shelf for months but one board weekend I put it on, from the moment I put it in my DVD player I was hooked. Each show is based around an office smoking room where people come and go all day except for Robin (Robert Web: Peep Show) who is always there avoiding work at any cost. A short list of other characters includes Len, a foul mouthed security guard that has moments of pure obscene hilarity, Barry, a scared of his own shadow crossword doing emotional wreck, Clint, A weed smoking handy man that could not even wire a plug, Annie, A fag stealing, self obsessed mountainous woman and others that make this show another BBC comedy success story. Don't get me wrong the office is one of the funniest things I have ever watch but if you loved that you should really like the Smoking Room.

I can remember watching this when it started back in 2004 on BBC3 and I had forgotten just how funny it was!Robert Webb leads an established cast in what I would describe as a forgotten gem!Shame there wasn't a third series.

A deeply unfunny series with a heavy-handed back story for Robert Webb's character. I am amazed this won a BAFTA for best new writer at the time. Very poorly acted and generally irritating to watch. Don't waste your time like I did.

just a wee trivia extra ..just listening to the voice of one of the actresses was driving me mad as to who she sounded like then it struck me she sounded like annette crosby(one foot in the grave) further searches and lo and behold its annettes daughter
