This Film Is Absolutely Cack. I Have Both of Tony Jaa's Other Films And They Are Awesome. This One Shows TonyJaa For About A Minute & You Still Can't Tell If IT's Him. The Plot Is Predictable And The Acting Absolutely Rubbish And The Fights Are Like A couple Of Kids Playing. Don't Waste Your Money Buy Warrior King & Ong Bak.
Disappointing

Having seen Ong Bak (one of the best martial arts films I have seen) & Warrior King (Good but they clearly got carried away with a bigger budget), I really expected something similar from Spirited Warrior.
It took 4 attempts to watch this film from start to finish.
If you blink you miss Tony Jaa.
The most enjoyment you could possibly derive from this DVD is if you use it as a frisby!!!
deprived!

where do i start? As an avid admirer of the work tony jaa has contributed to martial arts cinema (must see ong-bak and warrior king) i was more than impressed to find that he supposedly had another film out being this. after only ten minutes of viewing i realised how much of a waste of time a film could be. the sound effects are awful, the martial arts are tacky (to say the least) and to cap it of the headlining actor of tony jaa is only in it for ten minutes! still there are moments of good action, but dont get your hopes up!
For hardcore Tony Jaa and Pana Rittikrai fans only.

There's a lot of fun in this old school martial arts film. The flowing style from Ong Bak and Warrior King is apparent, but without the refinement and budget of those films. If anything there is more fighting and less plot, but the fights are actually alright. This film actually stars Panna Rittikrai (action director of Ong Bak) not Tony Jaa (who's in it for about ten minutes and is hard to recognise) but is still worth seeing if you're a fan and can find a cheap copy. But obviously see Ong Bak first.. (one of the extras is (a poor quality recording of) Tony doing some of the action scenes from Ong Bak live in the flesh in a new york cinema after a screening.
An old entertaining martial arts film

Tony Jaa is in this for about 10 minutes and he is very young, but this film is about Panna Rittikrai, who is the main character and Tony Jaa's real life mentor. This guy took Tony Jaa under his wing and is the man who setup the stunt team that are responsible for Ong Bak.
Thailand don't have a great history of martial arts movies, so the quality of acting and cinematography is obviously poor, yet the fight scenes aren't too bad.
I'd only buy this if you're a true martial arts film fan, i.e. you love everything from the Shaw Borthers classics to the modern greats; or if you're a Tony Jaa fan and want everything he's in.
