The guy behind Ali G uses another of his characters, Borat, to basically wind up America. He succeeds in showing up the most homophobic, xenophobic and hateful side of America... but saying that, it is genuinely hilarious. With documentary bits and staged comedy skits, it is difficult to tell what is real and what is not. One of those films that deserves to be in your collection. Buy now!

Didn't like this movie at all. Didn't find any part of it funny but acctually quite offensive in some respects. Waste of money i think

a movie that makes fun of the american traditions and principles must be welcomed. a movie that has the nerves to do it in this way must be welcomed even more.
although it could have been a shorter movie, and some scenes are only over the top in stead of funny, this movie contains very funny and hilarious episodes which will make you laugh out loud, even if it's wrong. but to see how these americans are all so convinced of the righteousness of their principles (be it a doctor, a preacher, students, a plastic surgeon, tv show hosts, ...) and how Borat makes them blush... well, that is good entertainment. way to go

Anyone who is judging this as a film has got it soooooo wornong. its made out to be a makeshift doc with bad camera shots and mishaps.....thats what makes it so funny.Borat has gotta be ssacha baron cohens best alter-ego by a mile.all this political correct rubbish people bang on about is totally been dead and buried by this nutcase from khazakstan. Ali g doesent have a patch on Borat.....Please make a second and more outrageous one !!

If some body can actually give me a legitement reason why this is a 'good film' then Kudos to them. 'Borat' is just plain terrible. He is an amusing character, for about 10 minutes, then he becomes annoying. This cannot be considered a film because it lacks everything that makes a film what it is. It's a awful story, dreadful acting, camera work of a 2 year old and worst of all, it's just like a really poor television show.
I really cannot understand why anybody would like this movie.
Over-rated, boring, unfunny, stupid and just a waste of your time and money. Avoid like the plague.

Only one word to describe this film, hilarious, it'll have you in stitches from start to end with no dull bits in between. A must buy if your a big comedy fan.

Simply outrageous to the point of absolute absurdity! I can't recommend it enough. You'll be laughing so loud for so long that you'll probably end up with a hernia and a sore jaw!! Buy it!! P.S. if you dod't find this funny, you're too uptight and politically and morally correct.....lighten up!!
