You can't view these as typical Mayall comedies or you'll be dissapointed as initially I was. Instead you need to view them as dramas peppered with comic moments which flow in abundence in the episode,"The big one".For me the best were the touching,"Dancing Queen",and strange,intense and romantic,"Clair de Lune". So not a must for," Young Ones", or ,"Bottom", fans but this stands strongly on its own and is certainly worth a look

I was so impressed with this series, I had no idea how versatile Rik Mayall was until I saw this. Of course we all know him best for his comedies which are fantastic but here we get to see a whole other side to him & his performances are very well done indeed. Some are dark, some are darky hilarious & there's even some romance thrown in. My personal favourite of this series is Dancing Queen because I love how the relationship of the two main characters develops & Helena Bonham Carter does a wonderful job as Pandora/Julie the stripper, the two seem to have great chemistry & its nice to see Rik Mayall in this kind of role, as just a genuine nice guy who's in a bad situation. Whether you're a fan of Rik Mayall or not you'll love this series, definately worth £9.99. I highly recommend it.
