Statham has found his niche a cut-price action hero and good luck to him. Unusually he is also one of the very few men to occupy these roles at present, as women(Jolie etc)have dominated the market in recent years.
Crank is like D.O.A. meets Speed on acid and closely resembles Run Lola Run for sheer drive and outrageous shot design; but it is most fun when seen as a reaction to female action stars. Statham is no shrinking violet and his ex-pat killer is like a Loaded journalist rampaging through assorted L.A. cranks with sex, drugs, and guns.
The film has been hounded for its total lack of political correctness but how correct would you be if you were poisoned and had the skills to do something about it?
Statham is like a cockney Van Damme and we should be proud of him.

What more can you expect from a film when i guy is injected with a poison and only way to stay alive is keep moving. The film was action packed from start to finish. Very cheap to buy well worth £5

it was only at cinemas for a few weeks. Why? it's class, the sharp editing that keeps you going throughout the movie, great action, and excellent comedy moments, it's a must see for any action fan.

Jason at his best keeping with his British accent instead of the cheesy American one.

Crank is The best film Statham has been in so far, he plays a great anti-hero, but what really surprises about this very funny action film is how much bang you get for the buck! The film was made for only £12 milion dollars, that is a large amount for a arthouse movie, but for a high octane action film it's tiny.The plot of the film may be thin, but it serves the movie well, and although this film will never be known for having both feet in reality, it is a great and smart comic book bit of action. With the films short running time the film runs at a breathless pace. With so many stand out scenes, and some seriously funny politically incorrect situations the film is a pleasure to watch. Sure some will hate the film, but it's all a matter of taste and Crank can never be called in good social taste. But as a no holds barred action film Crank is an hard coreaction classic, and a brilliant adrenaline thrill ride!

Since I saw The Transporter I have been quite a fan of Statham, often think that he is like Vinnie Jones... But good.

Neveldine's style in this film is very unique and gives a different approach to this modern gangster genre of films. Action packed from start to finish, doesn't hesitate in the slightest to get going with the plot.
Very good film with some funny moments as well as cringe worthy ones.
