I thought this film was just great. The actors were superb and the plot gripping. Not the ending i expected but kept me entertained all the way to the end of the film.

Really impressed with the movie, interesting theme with some twists but great acting especially as the actors are straight

absolutly brilliant film!
this should be mainstream, seriously the best brit flick for years.
it would not just appeal to the 'gay' scene, its so much more than just 'another gay movie'.
i would love this to get a showing on channel 4 one day.
i think it could even be seen as quite educational to some youth.
although some scene can be quite harrowing at times...

Before I go any further the soundtrack featured on this page is NOT from this film !

Ok, you want " hardcore " then don't look here, but if you want a good gay motion picture / story with an easy to follow plot then this is for you.

Shank is set in modern time, features a thumping rap soundtrack, and, some cute young actors. Although some of the plot falls into place quickly ( eg a Red Car driven by a youth is spotted by a person who just " happens " to be there... don't worry I'm not spoiling the plot ), the majority of the story was very believeable . I felt "OIiver " was a little overplayed but I'm sure that was meant well

So, if you've got 1 & half hours to spare , give this a go, the drug theme was very educational for someone like me who dosen't take any , and as for tissues .... it's not that type of film ....unless it is for those tearful moments

Well done TLA for yet another quality production !

  A fantatic watch - I loved it

This movie was BRILLIANT. Rented it first, and was so inpressed decided to purchase. The big muscled fit dude in the "B.J." scene is HOT! You should buy this just for HIM ;)

As a young gay guy from bristol myself i was naturally intrigued by this film and wasn't really sure i would like it with the violent gang culture content but can honestly say it is brilliant. For actors who are just starting out, i think most have a good future ahead of them as they were very believable. Quite an emotional film and the violence and sexual content aren't just for shock factor, they are quite integral to the films storyline. Whilst certainly not for the faint of heart i would certainly recommend this, and have done so to many people.

  Blistering viewing.

This is one of the finest modern films I have ever seen. Brilliantly filmed, acted and directed, it pulls no punches in this tale of a Bristolian chav coming to terms with the fact that he is gay. Hope for more films from this stable.
