B-Rabbit's quest to leave Salem's lot and become a respected rapper starts in the slum area of Detroit known as 8 Mile, where he has a dead-end job, taking care of his little sister with his mom and no other way out. The film builds up his progress to being able to raise his game for the rap battle he needs to prove himself in. There are many points where the story reflects Eminem's own true biography, and the strength of his performance, the rap battles and the ultimate feel of zero-hero in this film shows that 8 Mile makes it as respectable cinema through and through.
Top Notch!!!
