B-Rabbit's quest to leave Salem's lot and become a respected rapper starts in the slum area of Detroit known as 8 Mile, where he has a dead-end job, taking care of his little sister with his mom and no other way out. The film builds up his progress to being able to raise his game for the rap battle he needs to prove himself in. There are many points where the story reflects Eminem's own true biography, and the strength of his performance, the rap battles and the ultimate feel of zero-hero in this film shows that 8 Mile makes it as respectable cinema through and through.
Top Notch!!!

Good, There is a swear word used every other word so in some cases you are unsure about what the actors are trying to put across.
Brilliant film

Some people may say this isn't a good film, but I thought it was excellent, and shows what life is like in Detroit, and how hard it is to make it in the music world. Very entertaining and also has a lot of messages in the film. And, for £2.99, it's a bargain!
just don't bother!

Maybe.. just maybe.. there's a deeper meaning to this film that I've failed to pick out thus far. Or maybe not. 'Trailer Park Trash' Indeed. Avoid like a really nasty plauge.
Brilliant

I mean you cant go wrong really! top film,
Top quality!
I really enjoyed watching the film again.. in better quality!
Took 3 days to come (from when ordered!)
Great Deal!
Recommend!
My sons bought this film and asked me if I wanted to watch it with them, a prospect I wasn't looking forward to but in the interest of open mindedness I thought I'd give it a go.
I enjoyed every bit of it, great story line, great atmosphere. Eminem has hidden talents and hidden depths, fantastic performance from Kim Basinger as his 'trailer trash Mom'. Also exciting rap duels, not normally my cup of tea but brilliantly performed.
If you want to dip your toe into a world you would not normally think of going to, then this is a perfect way of doing it. Take a chance you may be pleasantly surprised.
