Eager to find her estranged father, Summer (Twilight's Ashley Greene) sets out on a cross-country journey of sorts when she encounters a slight run-in with the law. Much to her amazement, a local handyman rescues her. It's an unusual connection, but she is quickly charmed and accepts his invitation to spend the night. The following morning she is in for a rude awakening when he decides to change the rules of attraction by trapping her in his house. Taken prisoner in the demented strangers basement, her dream has come to a bitter end and her real-life nightmare has only just begun.
Summer's Moon is one of the most deranged, shocking and twisted family thrillers ever made...

It's not the most original film ever made but it does have something special about it, the story is similar to the film "Mum and Dad" a sick freak family takes girls prisoner and try's to make them "one of" the family. It's not particularly gory and plods along quite averagely, nothing too exciting ever happens but it's a nice little horror story and it's interesting to see what happens to summer in the end. Ashley Greene is hot and plays her character well. If you like small time horror films like me then you will probably enjoy it, but for hardcore horror fans it provides little action!
I wouldn't bother buying this film. I wouldn't class it as a horror more like a very sad comedy.
I received this DVD for christmas and was excited as I am a massive fan of Twilight, and so a massive fan of Ashley Greene. When I first had a look at it, I thought I had just got a horror movie. But when I watched it, I realised that it wasn't a horror. It was more like bits of a horror film were cut out and put into this film. I thought it worked brilliantly, although it is what a lot of people wouldd consider 'wierd'. It's interesting to watch Summer as she tries to work out her escape, failing numerously. 4/5, although I wouldn't consider it to fans of hardcore, gory, and highly recommended horrors!!
The acting in this was absolutely laughable. Not scary in the slightest, more like a horror comedy but i have a funny feeling that wasn't the films intention,
