The concept isn't the only daft thing in this movie! At first its a little hard to get into it, the documentary feel of a movie about a fictional character but the director the film is infact a real person!
There's not a huge amount of story, it just follows Le Donk and his talent Scor-Zay-Zee for a few days leading up to a gig. Theres not a lot going on other than great humour. Le Donk is hilarious, he's a moron of a person but everything he says is comedy gold.
paddy considine does an amazing job, he plays the role perfectly and he makes it entertaining.

Overall: Despite the shorter than normal length for a movie, this is Great! There's laughs from start to finish, absolutely hilarious. It's a no brainer comedy.

Le Donk & Scor-zay-zee (2009) is a low-budget comedy mockumentary in the style of Spinal Tap. The movie stars Paddy Considine, Dean Palo and Olivia Colman.

The plot revolves around director Shane Meadows (playing himself) and his documentary film crew who film the lives of difficult roadie Le Donk (Considine) and nice guy rapper Scor-zay-zee (Palo).

Most of this movie feels very loose and improvisational. Director Shane Meadows (This Is England) allows his actors to experiment and there are some very funny moments.

Considine appears to be having a ball as the enigmatic central character who tries to be a nice guy but cannot help but be difficult and selfish. Dean Palo is terrific as the quiet nice guy with a talent for rapping.

Le Donk & Scor-zay-zee is a very short movie but it has some very funny moments. I would highly recommend it but I also feel that Shane Meadows is capable of more.

I really liked this film, although it did dip in the middle a bit, but it did pick up again pretty quickly
There are some awsome comedy moments that are brilliantly done. Scor-Zay-Zee is a natural. Hope to see him other stuff in the future.Talented guy! Considine is superb as usual.

Lead character is brilliantly-played by Considine. Plot is a bit thin but if you like parody, stuff like alan partridge, bit of peep show then this is just the job. Several very funny bits mainly from Considine. Recommended!

  Short but superb

For those that don't know it was filmed over five days for the pricely sum of £50,000. To give you a clue as to how cheap that is a very very cheap half hour show on TV will cost about that. Yes, this film is rather short, running at 71mins but it's well worth the cost of a DVD purchase.

The film follows a few days in the life of La Donk (Nicholas) and his overweight rapper buddy, Scor-Zay-Zee. La Donk is working on the road crew for a band called The Arctic Monkeys (referred to by Donk as The Arctical Monkeys) and he is hoping to somehow get his rapper mate an opening slot at one of their gigs. While this is going on his ex-girlfriend is about to give birth to his son and wants her new boyfriend to be the birth partner.

What follows is some incredibly touching and moving cinema as well as some absolutely laugh out loud moments. More than one I had to remove my specs to wipe the tears from my eyes. The humour is a little crude and you probably wouldn't want to watch it when your mother and the vicar have popped around but it's certainly one for your collection.

Oh and keep watching the credits.

Once again Shane Meadows makes a masterpiece and Paddy Considine is hilarious as a Davis Brent type character. This is one of the funniest films ive seen for a long time its a real feel good film and Scor-Zay-Zee is excellent in his movie debut. A must have for any fans of Shane Meadows and Paddy Considine.
