American born Casey (Scott Adkins - X-Men Origins: Wolverine, The Shepherd, Undisputed 2) has dedicated his life to studying the ancient art of Ninjutsu in Japan. Casey's training is put to the test when his Sensei asks him to return to New York to protect the legendary Yoroi Bitsu, an armored chest that contains the weapons of the last Koga Ninja. When the exiled and disgraced Ninja, Masazuka, arrives to steal the Yoroi Bitsu for himself, Casey faces his most gruelling battle ever. Directed by Isaac Florentine (Undisputed 2, The Shepherd).

This is another cool underrated film that is certainly worth checking out if you love good martial arts movies! There are not too many cool ninja films lately so it makes this even more of a treat! The action is great, there are some pretty cool fight scenes from the good cast, there is loads of blood spraying all over the screen!! The story is simple and easy to sit back and cruise along to! Sure to entertain most action fans, worth checking out. NOT as good as the even more awesome NINJA ASSASSIN which is also available!!
Movie about two students one turns into a ninga assassin in want of a sacred box of ninga weapons passed down through the generations and the other is to protect the box of weapons.
This all leads to a great little film about dis-honour of the ninga code and some great fight scenes in and around america.
I have to add that Scott ADKINS is awesome as ever and deserves as much credit as he deserves for doing all his on stunts and delivering great entertainment in the way of martial arts.
If you liked undisputed 2 (scott adkins) then get this.
I brought this with the attitude that these days most serious martial arts movies are less cheese and more culture. I was proven wrong, say no more.
As stated in previous reviews this Ninja movie is not to be confused with the excellent Ninja Assassin.
What it is, is a fast paced Direct to DVD action movie. It wears it's limitations on it's sleeve and to be honest it's very entertaining. Directed with style by Isaac Florentine (Undisputed 2) and making the most of it budget limitation there is never a dull moment. The fight scenes are breathless and very impressive and shows off Scott Adkins matial arts skills to good effect. Like most films of this nature the plot does not really matter, as it just joins the dots to the next bout of action. Although lacking the bigger budget and blood lust of Ninja Assassin, Ninja is a great little action movie, anybody who in the 1980's could not get enough of Ninja movies such as American Ninja should get a kick out of this.
Well worth watching.
