A great little boxset from the Batman series covering the first four 'modern' Batman films (such a pity room wasn't made for a cameo by Adam West) I've purchased these films several times beginning with laser Disc (remember those) but never for this steal of a price.
Batman and Robin is the low point of the collection. Watch and forget. But overall don't let this put you off. Remember these have nothing to do with the most recent Bale Batman movies and you won't go far wrong.
This is a great package on DVD and is well worth getting for your collection...especially with that stunning price!

A great boxset from the Batman series!!
I have to say that I love the Batman movies except Batman and Robin. That movie should have been banned!!

I loved Batman Begins and The Dark Knight so when I saw this on Play.com, I knew I had to have it. I'll start off by saying that all the films are great with my personal favorite of the four being Batman Forever due to the fact that Jim Carrey is great as The Riddler and Tommy Lee Jones as Two-Face. Batman Returns is the worst out of the four, I found it quite boring to be honest but still it's worth a watch. You would think with it being a motion picture anthology Box-Set, they would give you some extras. Wrong! What you see is exactly what you get. Batman (1989) and Batman Returns is in one case with two separate discs with Batman Forever and Batman & Robin being in another case each having there own disc. Quite disppointed with the contents of this collector's item. Another issue is the box itself. The material used is very weak! A corner ripped when I was bringing it down off the shelf and that was quite annoying. So at the end of the day you should buy this Box-Set if you're a fan of Batman or if you like collecting. Also I don't see what every one found so bad about Batman & Robin! It had one of the best stories in a Batman movie but then again George Clooney is Batman...

A mix of some of the best to the worst

Batman (Burton with Keaton and Nicholson) was an absolutely brilliant film, Nicholson was excellent as the Joker, and the dark tone of the film was very gripping.

Batman Returns (Burton with Keaton and Devito) was also a fantastic film, Devito as the Penguin especially was excellent. Overall the first two films, 4 1/2 stars.

Now, the second two films is a battle to see which is worst, Val Kilmer (Batman Forever) is by far the worst Batman I have ever seen. Though Tommy Lee Jones was quite good, the whole tone of the film was nothing like its predecessors, or the Nolan series (Batman Begins and The Dark Knight), which irreversibly damaged the film.

Batman & Robin, although without Val Kilmer, is the worst of the four. Pityful, and comedic acting, which has no real place in a Batman film ruined the experience. Overall for Batman Forever and Batman & Robin, 2 1/2 stars.

My advice would be to buy the first two (the Burton films) either together or seperately and completly do away with the final two (the Schumacher films).
