The film was alright but not what I expected it to be. Wish I'd seen it when I was younger I would have enjoyed it more. You can tell where alot of films now a days got their style from watching this though.

The other reviewers are right. I watched this years ago when I was about 14 and I loved it then. Forget American Pie and Road Trip...This film did it first and better. It is unpretentious and shows all aspects of the teenage years. Brilliant!

Truly wonderful film this one,Its got one of the best soundtracks ever,Brilliantly funny natural performances,including a fantastic bad tempered bully boy performance from a young Ben affleck.You can almost smell the beer and the summer air"Richard linklater has never betterd it""in my opinion."BUY IT!!!!!

A superb end of high school movie, which unlike your usual teen flicks which are all geared towards the main star getting a scholarship to a famous university and learning a hard lesson along the way (deep breath), this film simply asks the question "ok then, what now?". Its clever, insightful and ultimately really rewarding. If you're leaving school/university/college whatever, I highly recommend it, I think you'll really appreciate the film's message.
