Englishman John Miles takes to the stage at SWR Studios in Baden-Baden Germany in 1993. At the time this was recorded, Miles was a major member of Tina Turner's band and indeed it's her very backing band that join him here. Jack Bruno on drums, Ollie Marland on keyboards, James Ralston on lead/rhythm guitar and Bob Feit on bass. The first three tracks are the sort of gutsy rock and roll that Miles excells at but lovers of the slow balad, fear not ! The delightful "One More Day" slows things down nicely. Later we are treated to Miles' own rendition of the Joe Cocker recorded bluesy "Now That The Magic is Gone", a song that Miles himself actually wrote. The band finish with the brilliant "What Goes Around, Comes Around" before Miles and James Ralston return to the stage, acoustic guitars in hand, to play out with the haunting "Pale Spanish Moon" I truly do rate this DVD very highly and it's one that I can quite easily watch two or three times in a week.
