I like this film, it is not as good as x-men and the like but it is far more true to the comic than most. The main things that let this movie down are Ben Affleck as the main role and Mark S J as the director. Affleck acts just fine, a lot of people have issues with him but i think he did a good job acting as Matt Murdock, however he really doesn't suit the role as Daredevil, the hero of this comic is incredibly acrobatic and quick - Affleck is tall, top heavy and slow. So the action looks stupid a lot of the time coz its not convincing (see the park scene with Elektra).
However it is pretty faithful to the comic, a lot of professional critics slated this film because they dislike the character his self, i have read some ignorant reviews where people have never heard of this character and so jump on the band wagon of hating it. Daredevil is one of the best heros in the marvel universe, one of the deepest, and one of the most respected with the fans. Sure high pitched sonics can hurt him which may seem stupid but then Superman can be killed with a green rock, all heros have their weaknesses and at least Daredevils weakness for noise makes sense for a man with supersenses, unlike a weakness for irradiated rock. His inner battle with his morals (catholic) and his ethics (lawyer) make him a much deeper hero than, say, Batman who similarly uses violence out of revenge for his parents but has little in the way of personal moral struggle over it. Daredevil on the other hand recognises the issue with using violence to fight the good fight.
In short if you can forgive Afflecks goon like daredevil and if you like the comic you might enjoy it, Colin Farrel as the bad guy Bulls eye is pretty rubbish but the Michael C D is pretty good as the Kingpin.
If you have seen it and thought this movie was ok and are looking to buy it on dvd then my advice is grab the directors cut, it is infinitely better than the theatrical release.
