I haven't read the marvel comic of Daredevil, so I can't really compare the two, but I found this movie to be good. I'm not entirely sure if Ben Affleck was the perfect guy for this role, but he performed well, and kept up with the choreographed fight scenes. On the note of the fight scenes, some of it seemed a little too stiff, and too perfected, not making it very convincing.

This movie is great for any action or superhero fan, and it defintiely kept me entertained throughout. Jennifer Garner was great, and also in her spin off movie, Elektra. As was, Jon Favreau, who supplied some laughs during too.

Good - Could have been amazing with the right actor/director

I like this film, it is not as good as x-men and the like but it is far more true to the comic than most. The main things that let this movie down are Ben Affleck as the main role and Mark S J as the director. Affleck acts just fine, a lot of people have issues with him but i think he did a good job acting as Matt Murdock, however he really doesn't suit the role as Daredevil, the hero of this comic is incredibly acrobatic and quick - Affleck is tall, top heavy and slow. So the action looks stupid a lot of the time coz its not convincing (see the park scene with Elektra).

However it is pretty faithful to the comic, a lot of professional critics slated this film because they dislike the character his self, i have read some ignorant reviews where people have never heard of this character and so jump on the band wagon of hating it. Daredevil is one of the best heros in the marvel universe, one of the deepest, and one of the most respected with the fans. Sure high pitched sonics can hurt him which may seem stupid but then Superman can be killed with a green rock, all heros have their weaknesses and at least Daredevils weakness for noise makes sense for a man with supersenses, unlike a weakness for irradiated rock. His inner battle with his morals (catholic) and his ethics (lawyer) make him a much deeper hero than, say, Batman who similarly uses violence out of revenge for his parents but has little in the way of personal moral struggle over it. Daredevil on the other hand recognises the issue with using violence to fight the good fight.

In short if you can forgive Afflecks goon like daredevil and if you like the comic you might enjoy it, Colin Farrel as the bad guy Bulls eye is pretty rubbish but the Michael C D is pretty good as the Kingpin.

If you have seen it and thought this movie was ok and are looking to buy it on dvd then my advice is grab the directors cut, it is infinitely better than the theatrical release.

 Devilishly good

i liked this when i first saw it at the cinema then watched it again and it was poor ben affleck was fine as matt murdock/daredevil but colin farrell was terrible as bullseye. the story is okay but lacks what spiderman or x-men has if you like action you may like this?

 A must see.

This film is definately worth a watch, another Marvel character is transformed here onto the big screen and what a smooth transition it was, the storyline is good, the action non stop, and I thought the fight scenes were decent enough too, not to mention Jennifer Garners cameo as Elektra, this film is a must if you have not already seen it.

 Daring but worth it.

This film was a risk for me to buy, as any film is, but it was well worth the mney, i bougt this film for £2 from a carboot two weeks ago, that is why it was a risk for me to buy it. But Ben Affleck was a really good actor and pulled of the role superbly. It is well worth the money and i demand that you buy this film! It is well worth the money, and is a good ation film.

 enjoyable

not sure why there was so many people that did'nt like this i personally thought that this film was entertaining and the action was good maybe the story could have done with a tweak here and there but it's worth buying

A dark, action packed comic book adaption.

I don't know why so many people didn't like this movie. The fight scenes are gripping and the storyline is enthralling. Ben Affleck played Daredevil very well with Colin Farrell playing Bullseye. It is a dark, gritty action movie that will keep you on the edge of your seat!

A good enjoyable wholesome adventure. Not the best film in the world but it has a feel all of it's own.i enjoyed the fight scenes they didn't disapoint and jennifer garner gave a good performance as the stunning 'elektra'. colin farrel camped up his role as 'bullseye' and it suited him, played any other way wouldn't of done the role justice. ben as daredevil was tailor made and even though there's no sequel i can't help but feel that it deserved to have one. fun movie with an awesome soundtrack.
