Excellent show; shame about the lack of extras/subtitles

I'm not going to review 'cracker' here - cracker was/is an excellent psychologically enthrawling show, so if you like cracker, get this, or the newer box set from play. There are no extras at all on this older style DVD box set, which is a shame.

Crucially though, there seems to be a rather strange aspect ratio thing going on, and there are NO subtitles whatsoever. The first few DVDs just play, then the last few have scenes and an intro-screen. It seems fumbled together.

It's a toss between this DVD set and the newer one, which includes the 2006 one off special. I'd go for this box set, which is often on special offer at play, as the 2006 special is a very different type of cracker, with most of the original cast not present police-wise. If you're a fan of cracker, or wish to remember by buying, certainly do so; but if you're hard of hearing and require subtitles unfortunately this older one doesn't have any. The newer box set may do, it's listed on play, have a look.
