Well you either love the TV series or you dont, and if you do then you will certainly love this movie!! Fantastic cast who portray the original characters perfectly! The A-Team van was awesome even though it never got quite as much screen time! There was a few nods to the series like cameos and the theme tune! The story was great loads of pure action and laughs, some of the action was so over the top it was unbelievable but who cares its cool and its the
A-Team..................
Was REALLY looking forward to this, after seeing the Super Fun Packed Trailer.
But the film was a let down, it seemed to just be Action set piece after Action set piece.
I was expecting it to be original for its time but at the same time, Adventurous and Fun like the TV series.
The casting could have been better, the few moments I did enjoy were Very Good.
But overall, a disappointment.
Given all the negative reviews this film received upon its cinema release over the summer, indications that it would either be a disaster of pretty substantial proportions, or at the very best, destroy childhood memories of easily the most fun American TV import of the 1980s. Fortunately, Joe Carnahan's skilful reworking of the show for modern audiences is largely a delight! The action's on a far larger scale than the TV show and it leaves you gasping at times due to its sheer audacity, although frantic editing does make some of 'the plans' hard to follow (the reason for the deduction of one star in the rating system!). The film's major plus, and the show's greatest strength lies in the characterisation of the team members - for me the series was never about the formulaic action and repetitive story-lines, it was always about the hilarious interaction between the characters, with the team often behaving like a disfunctional family, with Hannibal as the patriarch bringing his bickering 'children' together whenever a plan needed to be executed. This element comes across well in the film: Sharlto Copley and Bradley Cooper's 'Murdock' and 'Face' respectively, are perfectly cast and Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson and Liam Neeson make good attempts at reviving 'B.A.' and 'Hannibal', although Mr Neeson's performance lacks the swaggering, goading arrogance that made George Peppard such fun to watch, he's still not bad though! All in all, this is great fun for all the family, with big laughs and even bigger action, and it certainly left me wanting a sequel (this film is essentially the team's back-story as described in the opening titles of the TV show!). Hopefully DVD sales will cover for disappointing box office - this is far better than the 'Karate Kid' remake - and persuade the producer's to go for a follow up...so switch off your brain and enjoy the action comedy of the year!
This is a film that i was so excited about when i first saw the trailer and the film seemed to take forever to arrive but now it has i gotta say it was well worth the wait. It hasnt lost its sense of fun that the tv show had and the action and effects were superb. The casting was actually quite good with Liam Neeson as Hannibal which was always gonna be solid...Bradley Cooper as Face who too was excellent....Quinton Rampage Jackson the UFC guy playing BA who i was skeptical about from the beginning but he was actually really good and the star of the show District 13s Sharlto Copley as mad Murdoch was simply fantastic.....great entertainment the way it should be. Enjoy
Well i shoved this in last night. And boy i wasnt dissapointed!! Yeh i know people have criticised this. But i dont really see why. They obviously are stuck in their ways and not allowing for this brand new perspective.. modern perspective to be viewed by the masses.
Well worth the 1 hour 53 minutes! Brilliant acting throughout, with a great comical value. Great fight scenes! They have definately done the original series proud with this new fresh re make film!
I guarantee enjoyment by watching this.
If your looking for action, fun, adventure, a good plot, great acting and something to just make you laugh.. then i recommend this for you.. If you want a romantic film.. then search for something else..
5/5!!!
