Leading up to the events in the X-Men film, X-Men Origins: Wolverine tells the story of Wolverine's (Hugh Jackman) epically violent past, his complex relationship with Victor Creed, and the ominous Weapon X program. Along the way, Wolverine encounters many mutants, both familiar and new, including surprise appearances by several legends of the X-Men universe.

one of the worst marvel film's

Save your money and watch the x-men films. Boring, effects are bad and useless plot.

Great fight sequences make it a good film

I used to read the X-men comics when I was a kid and I have to say that Jackman is perfect as Wolverine.

There are excellent fight sequences and the story is pretty good. The reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is because I thought the ending was a little weak.

If you liked Wolverine in the X-men films then I would recommend this film.

I have to say, being a fan of both the old comics and the original 90s Xmen cartoons I had quite high hopes for this, being that I knew the origins of Wolverine already and thought that if the film was done right it would be epic. Sadly, the film misses out lot of the original storyline, adds in unoriginal plot points, and doesn't spend enough time exploring various significant points in Logan's past. The most annoying thing for me was that they opted to make the film a 12A rather than a 15 certificate, this film should have been a lot darker and a lot more grusome, as Wolverine's past was. The film just felt to "family fun" for me, it should have been done a lot better.
Still a good action film that I'm sure kids will love as will some adults, and still worth watching (hence the 3 star rating), and Jackman is good as usual in the part, though I do think that die hard fans of the Wolverine character will be somewhat disappointed.

 A redeemer

Though this is about my least favourite character from the franchise, this film restored my faith in the Xmen saga as 'The Last Stand' was absolutely horrific to watch, whereas this gave you something new instead of the same story for three movies. It does what it says on the tin and gives you the origin of wolverine, it did raise a few questions, for example when you see the other mutants and seeing as this was before the Xmen trilogy you were left thinking 'where were they?'. Overall, a good film and worth a watch, i hope they stick with movies plans to make the next about magneto.
