Sandler, in a career-defining role stars as Barry Egan,a mousy hardware tycoon aspirant with a neurosis that is as easily dispensable as the other devastating details that make up his life. When he meets an elfin British woman, he realizes there is more to embrace in his life than let go of...
Anderson has a flair for building drama of an endearing kind around characters that are lovable, precisely because of their quirkiness. With quirkier situations and an inspired, original score from Jon Brion to boot, it's quite a feast for those that seek an alternative to celluloid projections of humanity.
Verdict: Quite Unforgettable!
great lovestory...

with a superb acting adam sandler. you don't have to like the guy, but here he makes a statement as an actor.
the movie is a love story, no doubt, but not an easy one, not the stereotypical one. it has some twitches in it that make it all more worthy.
and again PT Anderson proves that he's a great director and a good storyteller.
don't hesitate do buy!!!
What the hell Adam!

Well if your a tradtional Adam Sandler fan you wont enjoy this film, it doesn't have the uniquness and normal brilliance adam brings to a movie. He is a brilliant actor, but he is best brought out in comedy like Click, he doesn't act stupid and his serious acting is great along with The Longest Yard. These films have the tradtional laughs at the begining then something bad happens and it gets serious until it all gets good eventually for adam and you see more great laughs this is present in every film he has done besides this and is a formula to create Award Wining Films. Look at the Disney films they often use this technique, prime example The Lion King. But i didn't quite get this film the only but i really enjoyed was whilst they were talkin about sex he said i'm gonna smash your face with a sledge hammer. But if your an Adam fan you'll buy this anyway, it's only £5 you might aswell then see if you believe what i'm saying.
