Littered with exclusive extras, this irresistible box set contains all five 2009 Doctor Who specials. With 5 discs of monster fighting, all-action adventure, The Complete Specials is a fitting finale to David Tennant's triumphant reign as television's most entertaining Doctor.

Includes all the Doctor Who Specials from 2009!

Episodes Comprise:

The Next Doctor: It's Christmas Eve in 1851 in The Next Doctor and Cybermen stalk the snow of Victorian London. When the Doctor arrives and starts to investigate a spate of mysterious deaths, he's surprised to meet another Doctor (David Morrissey), and soon the two must combine forces to defeat the ruthless Miss Hartigan (Dervla Kirwan). But are two Doctors enough to stop the rise of the CyberKing?

Planet of the Dead: Starring Michelle Ryan and Lee Evans, Planet Of The Dead was the first of this year's specials. When a London bus takes a detour to an alien world, the Doctor must join forces with the extraordinary Lady Christina. But the mysterious planet holds terrifying secrets, hidden in the sand. And time is running out, as the deadly Swarm gets closer...

The Waters of Mars: The Waters of Mars welcomes Lindsay Duncan as the Doctor's cleverest and most strong-minded companion. The Waters of Mars is a dark, scary thriller that sees the Doctor land on the planet Mars, at a base in peril. A creeping infection beneath the Martian surface threatens not only the human race, but also the Doctor's most fundamental beliefs. Together with Adelaide Brooke - the base's commander - the Doctor must stop a seemingly unstoppable menace before it can reach Earth, and wipe out mankind.

The End of Time: Part One: Join the Tenth Doctor for his final journey in The End of Time Parts One and Two, when his psychotic nemesis the Master has been reborn, on Christmas Eve. With both determined to cheat death, the battle ranges from the wastelands of London to the mysterious Immortality Gate, while the alien Ood warn of an even greater danger approaching, as a terrible shadow falls across the entire Universe.

The End of Time: Part Two: The Doctor faces the end of his life as the Master's plans hurtle out of control. With the sound of drums growing louder, and an ancient trap closing around the Earth, the Doctor and Wilf must fight alone. But sacrifices must be made, and the deadly prophecy warns: "He will knock four times."

This was one hell of a year for doctor who fans, a little slow as there was no full series but we have had some great stories in each of the episodes over 2009. The end of time was a fantastic feature length episode with a brilliant story, ending the series very well, David Tennant will surely be missed as he was a fine actor but from the look of things Matt Smith fits in quite well and should lead us into some quality new stories as the new born timelord! And from the looks of the trailer for next year even the Daleks set to return, I for one cant wait and will certainly be ordering this box set of the specials as must you!!

all post season 4 specials accounted for and correct

Just a quick review to try and sort out a few mistakes by at least one of the reviews on here, this is in fact all the specials, as we did not have a season 5 in 2009 the BBC production team classed all the episodes shown post season 4 as specials and this collection has them all. I have dropped one star for the simple reason they could have had more than one episode per disc, I mean who wants to get to a cliff hanger and then dive out of your comfy armchair and put another disc in apart from that a wonderful box set and well worth owning, I have the blu-ray edition and the picture is outstanding and the standard for the previous DVDs has been so high I see no problem with the DVD version, lovely to see the full versions of the Doctor who confidentials and not the mega edited versions that usually escape onto DVD, so sit back and watch the last few episodes of David Tennant with a wee tear in the corner of your eye, you will not be dissapointed with this set, it you have the other season box sets then you will have bought this already, no doctor who collection will be complete without it.

Dr who the specials, David tennants last eps, OUTSTANDING

What can you say about the final episodes??? All the episodes are totally outstanding but none more than the last episode 'the end of time part two'. I had a rollercoaster of emotions watching david, from anger to unbelief to total distraught!!! When the dr realises what the 'knock 4 times' is totally heartbreaking, leaving me sobbing into a tissue, however worse was still to come when the 10th and 'my dr' utters his last words!!russell t davies, julie gardner, euros lynn and most of all david tennant thankyou for providing us with the best piece of tv i can ever
remember! TOTALLY OUTSTANDING, Matt Smith good luck x
