Eliza Dushku and Mike Vogel make an engaging central pair in this film where an ancient Jumaji-style boardgame spells grisly doom for all who play it. It's an engaging slasher, with the kills set up in a Final Destination style - you're left expecting that it's not 'if' they get killed, it's more when. However, unfortunately the budget can't stretch to much - there are 2 moments of supremely bad visual FX which distract from the movie. Also the ending is very predicatble. Still, I found it a fun watch and it filled an hour and a half enjoyably for us.
Interesting concept, but it has been done before and better.
Mainly bought this as I'm a huge fan of Eliza Dushku, but not even my devotion to her can save this mess.
Think jumanji but more R rated. Die in the board game, die in real life.
CGI scene near the end is laughable. Actually everything is laughable. It's just that bad.
