Just saw it at the Tromso International Film Festival. One of the Festivals highlights! Dont be intimidated by the 4 hours runtime, youll just wonder where they went as you watch the ending.

Does anyone know if there are english subs on this DVD?

  4 hours of.... WOW!

I'd like to be able to gave you a basic summery of this movie but its impossible!
There's love and romance, there's comedy, there's action, there's sadness, it's like a multi-genre movie. On top of that it's jam packed with different elements, obession, love, fate, destiny, perversion and many many more.
It's a whopping 4 hours! in length but it doesn't feel that way, while watching this movie the time just moved along naturally. I never once felt bored and never wonce looked at my watch, the story kept me interesting for the whole 4 hours.
Sion Sono has really proved himself as a top director, his previous movies showed he had potential and with Love Exposure he's finally bloomed. He brings new elements to his style but still has some of his traditional stuff in there. Brilliant directing throughout, very stylish and yet a touch of the classics.

Overall: Love Exposure is just one of those great movies, but I'm not sure what it is which makes it so great...
Perhaps its because for 240minutes I never once felt bored or wished the story to move along, perhaps its because I was laughing one minute and feeling sad the next, or perhaps its because the director showed respect to the legends of cinema and yet still brought something new and freshing to the table.
Love Exposure is just a great film through and through, it truly is Epic viewing from start to finish.
A Must Buy!

From the master Sion Sono. 4 hours of utter incredible artistic and slapstick cinema. Split into sections which makes viewing easier, although the 4 hours completely flies by and will leave you wanting more. The characters are all sublime in their own way, a great story and a very very sweet ending. I can't wait to show my girlfriend this epic film when it arrives this week. WATCH IT.
