I'm not being negative just for the sake of it, and I can fully see why the series of books and movies have legions of fans. I even really liked the first movie, but I have to honestly say that for me New Moon was a crushing disappointment. What's the point of having a movie whan nothing happens? with a running time over 2 hours the movie could have spent a little more time being edited, as you can see a good movie desperatly trying to get out. It just takes it's self too serious, and in doing so just drags along. The C.G.I recriations of the Werewolves look oversized and fake. The film does not know when to end with so many endings it just becomes tedius, and the X-factor style vote if Bella can become a vampie is laughable. I saw this movie in the cinema, and was bored out of my mind, and seeing I bought the first movie some how had to buy this, and thought I would give it a second chance on the small screen, but I'm sorry to say things did not get much better, but what did you expect from the Director of the biggest none event movie of 2007 The Golded Compass?, as the only talent he seems to have as a Director is stearing franchises onto the rocks. On a good note the third chapter in the series looks alot better and is Directed by David Spade who brought us the excellent 2007 Vampire movie 30 Days Of Night, and with a bit of luck should put some bite back into this Saga.
No doubt, I will be cursed for not likeing the movie, by every Teenager, but it's just an opinion!

 Not good

I have read the books and enjoyed them. I can see why they have so many fans. The first film was passable but this one is pretty dire in my honest opinion. The CG wolves are not poor, they have missed recreating the spark between Bella and Jacob that was so strong in the book, it all seems really wooden. Kirtsen's Stewarts acting lets the whole thing down. She just can't pull off that character. It comes in at over 2 hours long as well. I struggled to finish watching it. Hope they get it right with the third one and Kirsten Stewart learns how to act.

 Okay...

I have to say i had very high expectations of this film, I can honestly say i was disappointed. I thought that it was dragged out too long for no apparent reason. The acting wasnt fabulous ( my best acting award goes to kristen/Bella) BUT!! when there was an action part (mainly near the end) There was good action and good cgi. I just feel it needed ...something... maybe more backing music....I dont know. I would say it is worth having it in your collection if yo uhave the first one. :)
