The premise is very interesting, and the film should have been funnier than it turned out to be.
I'm a fan of Paul Rudd, but he was on auto pilot in this movie.
Steve Carrell was a mixture of funny and annoying.
I switched my brain off to be entertained, but it just didnt do for me.
Some funny bits, but overall not a very good comedy.

  funny as hell

I loved this, as I said in other reviews Steve Carell makes me laugh every time. But this is definitely one of his funniest films, the stuffed mice idea was a good one and added a lot to the character who was supposed to be such an idiot. The funniest moment in this film was when he was acting as a penquin, for the first time in a long time I actually had tears in my eyes with laughter, so much so it taken me a while to settle down and be able to watch the rest of the film, it was that funny. Even half an hour after I was still laughing at that bit just thinking about it. Ths is what comedy is all about, funny moments that make you laugh even days after seeing it, by just thinking back. I am not sure if this is the funniest film I have ever seen but it is certainly one of them, highly recommend, but it is a shame there doesn't seem to be a blu ray release though, actually I am disappointed about that as I really like this.

An amazingly funny film, this will be a classic, the stuffed mice are so well done, it's just a nice story that kids and adults can enjoy.
This is a must buy for all comedy lovers.

  some moments were amusing

I was really looking forward to watching this movie and I have to say it was mildly amusing but not extremely amusing. The acting was good but there were too many moments that you could see were going to happen. I'd give it a 3 star but gutted I couldnt make it any higher.

You'll either love it of hate it.

I'd personally give this film 5 stars, the only reason I've given it 3 because I think you will either love it or hate it. As I said i love it but my other half hated it.
The story is about a guy who get a promotion and gets invited to a diner with his boss and other work colleages. The difference with this dinner is everyone has to bring a loser and because he wants to fit he takes someone although he doesn't agree with it.
Steve Carell and Paul Rudd are brilliant and David Walliams shows his star quality.
If you love things like Little Britain, The Mighty Boosh and League of Gentleman, like I do you will love it, if you don't, then I'm not sure you will but worth the risk in my book.

the funniest film i have seen since the hangover and stepbrothers. it was unpredictable and the most ridiculous film i have seen by far. the whole film had me laughing due to the slapstick and dry comedy throughout. paul rudd and steve carell are an amazing duo! id definately recommend this film if you can actually understand real comedy

  Stay away from this movie!

I agree - this is not even worth one star! It was not at all funny - it's just sad and bad!
