It begins as just another urban legend - the whispered tale of nightmarish videotape that causes anyone who watches it to die seven days later. But when four teenagers all meet with mysterious deaths exactly one week after watching just such a tape, investigative reporter Rachel Keller tracks down the video...and watches it. Now, the legend is coming true, the clock is ticking and Rachel has just seven days to unravel the mystery of The Ring.

This is one of the best remakes in horror from a Japanese movie, the story is great and extremely frightening, anyone who scares easy will have nightmares for a while, the cast is good and the effects are spot on and creepy as hell, if you love a good nail biting horror and have not seen this yet make sure you do, a genuine chiller!

Excellent horror. Don't think that just because its rated at '15' that you aren't going to get a good scare - its truly terrifying! Will probably leave you with nightmares and you probably won't ever watch a video again. Great for a fiver.

Before you die you see the Ring...

What can I say other than how much I love this film. The storyline, the characters, suspense and atmosphere is amazing.
For me this is a much have, must see as the story gradually builds up alot of suspense and makes you want more! Alot of detail has gone into this film and it manages to suprise me everytime...

Brilliant movie, bit long winded though. Would definately recommend it to any horror fan. I've heard the original japanese version 'Ringu' is better. Personally, I'd rather watch summit i can understand. One of my favourite horror movies of all time.

 Considerably scary

I remember watching this quite a while back when it was first released and I thought it was very scary/creepy. The story line is very intriguing, it's well thought. The idea that a young girl who died down a well really adds to your horrific expectations. I would recommend it to people who enjoy horror movies.
