It begins as just another urban legend - the whispered tale of nightmarish videotape that causes anyone who watches it to die seven days later. But when four teenagers all meet with mysterious deaths exactly one week after watching just such a tape, investigative reporter Rachel Keller tracks down the video...and watches it. Now, the legend is coming true, the clock is ticking and Rachel has just seven days to unravel the mystery of The Ring.

Excellent horror. Don't think that just because its rated at '15' that you aren't going to get a good scare - its truly terrifying! Will probably leave you with nightmares and you probably won't ever watch a video again. Great for a fiver.
What can I say other than how much I love this film. The storyline, the characters, suspense and atmosphere is amazing.
For me this is a much have, must see as the story gradually builds up alot of suspense and makes you want more! Alot of detail has gone into this film and it manages to suprise me everytime...
Well done... Give this film ago as its rely interesting, n with the price u cnt go wrong!
this film is one of my absolute favourites. i love films which keep me guessing throughout, make me jump, and also draw a little tear from my eye at some point! this film is just that! its spooky, and is very well written. 'Rachel' is a fantastic actress, the story is fantastic, and there is so much in the film you are not bored at any point. i dont know how anyone can give it a bad review. and just when you think its all over, its not! the ring 2 didnt live up to my expectations though unfortunately, this one is by far better.
I remember watching this quite a while back when it was first released and I thought it was very scary/creepy. The story line is very intriguing, it's well thought. The idea that a young girl who died down a well really adds to your horrific expectations. I would recommend it to people who enjoy horror movies.
good film if you are in the mood to be scared. This is coming from someone who prefers comedy over horror. The Ring is elegantly creepy, and not too much blood and gore. I give it four stars for its genre, but only two or three comparing it to comedies.
