I dont understand why this sequel got such a panning from the critics...I thoroughly enjoyed it and its the one out of the three I watch the most...I know it doesnt have the depth of the first and that that was more original but for entertainment (with the exception of the cave rave) its the better of the three

THE SEQUEL THATS THINKS IT'S TOO CLEVER FOR IT'S OWN GOOD!

The original movie was a very clever but as I stated in it's review un-original sc-fi that robs all it's ideas from all the best sci-fi movies of the past 30 years. This is no acception, but where the original succeded, this is let down by thinking it's too clever than it is. It does have fantastic ideas, but a film that is set in a vertual world, with this many effects, just seems so hollow and uninvolving. Even the much hyped 15 minute car chase just seems a excuse for alot of CGI effects mixed in with the real life, and is that long verges on overkill and looses alot of the excitement it should have. The Destruction derby in Bad Boys 2 is far better as most of that was done for real. The plot is a mess and very confusing, thinking it's clever, when all it is, is poorly written. Effects don't make a movie and this is a perfect example. But when you a looking at effects this good, it's impossible to dislike this over reaching sci-fi opera.
Not the classic as some say, but amazing effects does sweeten the shallowness!

 Another brilliant Matrix

Another brilliant Matrix film to the trilogy. The fight scenes are something else in this film. I was truly amazed at how good they were. If you liked the original then you will love this. I didnt like the ending but I can see why they done it.

 Great Film, but not perfect

I want to firstly state that this is a great film. The action scenes are some of the best you'll ever see in any other film ever made, the directing and editing of the action is also perfect. However, the story is not as engaging as the first film and between action scenes, you just sit there waiting and hoping that the next scene will contain some action. Also some of the scenes in the film are irrelevant to the story including the 'Cave Rave' and the fight between Neo and Seraph. But overall, these are minor flaws.

 Great!
