Amy Adams stars in Leap Year, a feel-good romantic comedy about a girl on a mission to marry Mr Right. Buoyed by an Irish tradition that allows women to propose to their suitors on February 29th, Anna jets off to Dublin in pursuit of Jeremy, but a surly stranger is about to change everything.

When their four-year anniversary passes without a marriage proposal, Anna decides to take matters into her own hands. Hearing of an Irish tradition that allows women to propose to men on February 29th, Anna decides to follow her boyfriend Jeremy (Adam Scott, Step Brothers, Monster-in-Law) to Dublin and get down on one knee herself. But airplanes, weather and fate leave Anna stranded on the other side of Ireland, and she must enlist the help of handsome and surly Declan to get her across the country. As Anna and Declan bicker across the Emerald Isle, they discover that the road to love can take you to very unexpected places.

Directed by Anand Tucker (Shopgirl, Hilary and Jackie), Leap Year is from a screenplay by Deborah Kaplan & Harry Elfont (Made of Honor, Surviving Christmas).

I normally can't stand rom-coms, but was dragged along to see this by a friend. I found it to be very funny and very endearing, plus if you like the Irish countryside you won't be disappointed.

Did not really expect much from this film, not really being a Rom-Com sort of person! But this was a really funny and entertaining film throughout. Both my husband and I were in stiches. Well worth the watch!!

 Lovely, light-hearted flick

Ignore the critics I say - this film clearly wasn't made to challenge or shake up the industry. It is simply harmless, comical, light-hearted entertainment; and you don't need to have your thinking cap on to enjoy.
