I watched it back in 90-91 here in Norway, and I must say that I was stuck by atmosphere, and the story. Just started to watch it now, and the quality of the series is still kicking ass. This summer I was on the Twin Peaks festival i North Bend WA U.S, Sheryl Lee, Sheryl Fen, Ray Wise and other actors from the series was there. It was great. We also visit the filming locations in North Bend. The is a must for all the TP fans out there.

I first caught the second series of twin peaks on its original run 20 years ago, and marvelled at its wonderful storylines, characters and beautiful scenery, this is Lynch not quite at his best, but close to it, seeing it again after all this time has made me fall in love with this programme all over again... the fact is 20 years later, there is still nothing like it on tv, i wont ruin it for anyone, but part whimsical, part drama, and part hilarious, and part inspired, peel back the layers and you will find probably find one of the best programmes ever made for television, my only gripe with the package, is it should come with fire walk with me, then it would be one of the best sets ever... dont believe me, watch it, make your own opinions, but you will never see television like it again

 A must buy !

I never write reviews for Play however I just had to let people know how amazing the world of Twin Peaks is.
I'll keep it brief, if you like or love Twin Peaks, have only watched one episode or have watched everything countless times you still need to buy this.

Please do yourself a favourite, buy this boxset, you will not regret it.

Twin Peaks centres on the events following the murder of a young woman, Laura Palmer, in a small town in the northwest of the United States. Special Agent Dale Cooper, brilliantly played by Kyle MacLachlan, is sent in to investigate but soon discovers that things are a lot more complicated than they first appeared.

Over the course of the first and start of the second season Cooper used his unconventional investigative techniques to delve into the lives of the townsfolk that knew Laura discovering all manner of strange goings on in the process. During his time spent in Twin Peaks Cooper meet a huge ensemble cast of often bizarre characters all of whom were made interesting by the fantastically creative writing and often turned out to be key to at least one of the shows plot arcs.

Twin Peaks did begin to lose some of its magic once Laura Palmers murderer was discovered, as with many shows the mystery itself was the more interesting than the solution, but found its feet in the final few episodes to end with a strange, yet fitting, finale that shed further light on the strange town.

Like nothing else on TV Twin Peaks is a must for fans of shows that require a bit more thought than usual and rarely goes for the simple answer.

BRILLIANT!!!!!!! If only all programmes were made like this, the world would be a better place. If you like the weird and thought provoking, the strange and unique, kind of entertainment. JUST GET THIS!. The box set is well presented and the choice of extras is in my veiw great value for money.I watched every episode in the early 90's and forgotten just how good this is. It pays to watch "FIRE WALK WITH ME" after watching every episode.Because it all makes sense in the end.

 A great-big thumbs up...

Diane, it's 12:01pm, it's raining outside but the temperature is warm and I've just finished watching the gold edition package of Twin Peaks. What can I say about this, Diane? Do I mention that it was - and probably still is - one of the most innovative television dramas ever? Should I say that once you immerse yourself in the pure joy of the 29 episodes of this box-set that you'll want to visit the tranquility of the town again and again? Or do I just settle on the fact that Twin Peaks is glorious entertainment, and if you want to peel away the onion-skin layers it will reward you time after time. Oh and, Diane, the extras are to die for. Hhmmm - maybe that's what happened to Laura Palmer! Get me Gordon Cole.

 A stone cold classic

I only slightly remembered this show from my youth - if anything, i remembered the theme tune more than anything and that it was a sort of murder mystery. My curiousness led me to get the first season on DVD when it was released on Region 1, and avidly sat through it all until Season 2 was brought out. People talk about the enduring appeal of more modern shows like 'Lost' - well 'Twin Peaks' was doing it all the way back in the early 1990s! From the seemingly open and shut murder case revolving around Laura Palmer, to the surreal aspects like the dancing dwarf, the white and black lodges, and the eerie character of Bob, this is certainly extremely creative stuff. At times you're left wondering if David Lynch dreamt all this stuff up - he's either a genius or a madman...A superb drama series that everyone should see. It might not be everyone's cup of tea, but everyone should at least experience what Twin Peaks has to offer.

 wow!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nearly twenty years from its air date and we finally have the full box set available. The story of Twin Peaks was like no other, years ahead of its time and arguably shown to an audience not yet ready for its stunning visuals and twisted plot line. Twin Peaks is crammed full of interesting characters, interwoven sub plots and twists that will keep you guessing right up to the final episode. This Lynch/Frost production holds its cards right until the very end, shows you one thing and then shows you something completely different. There are images within the story that will stay with you forever but you will be left saddened that a third season was shelved just as things were getting interesting. Guaranteed to cause some sleepless nights!
