Top 100 DVD Reviewer

I made sure i saw 2012 on the Big Screen and got what i expected. It was basically a carbon copy of A Day After Tomorrow but with even better effects.
The Film itself was ok but not great and the acting what you expect from a Disaster movie as all the money was spent on the effects and not the script.
All in all i enjoyed the film even it was a little overlong and would recommend anyone to watch 2012 on the big screen as i imagine allot of the effect will be lost on Dvd

 Well worth a buy

If you liked Independance Day and The Day After Tomorrow you will certainly like 2012, yes at times the plot is a bit thin and a bit far fetched but on the whole I really enjoyed this film, the cast do their best to rescue the plot where it does fall foul (look out for Woody Harleson's cameo) but all in all a great disaster film and well worth the money

 TOTAL disappointment!

The cgi and affects are without a doubt, utterly amazing but the complete mess ups in the film made it a pain to watch!
Countries move 1500 miles and yet a plane lands "accidentally" where it needs to?
way over the top with the "ooooh that was close" and "coincidences" and the amount of things that were so "conveniently at the right place at the right time" just made this a pain to watch!"

Personally, wanted to walk out the cinima but the missus wanted to watch till the end!

 Good Fun!

If you like deep, meaningful dialogue and a plot that leaves you gasping at every twist and turn - then dont watch this!! First half an hour is pretty dull, but once it gets going its fast paced, all action and great CGI, just watch and enjoy. It wont overtax your brain, it's just fun, view it as that pure and simple, I did and loved it. Especially the tsunami's. Yes, I know its all been done before, whatever, I'm a sucker for CGI. lol.

 don`t listen to the doubt!

most people rave about the impossibilities of it actually happening; hence the bad press! Scrap that - the effects are awesome! I did what I always do and sat back and expected to be entertained - and I was! The effects were humoungous! Armagedddon is coming - lets do it Mankind!
