Cant belive the reviews its a terriable film! action was nonexistent and when you did get some action it was poor plus germans with lazer guns in 1942 was just stupid. The film was a big let down and the way the villian dies is laughable avoid at all costs!!!

 ONE FOR THE YOUNGERS

we all know marvel movies are for the younger generation aswell as the older but this is to much like a cartoon..script acting and storyline is poor compared to other marvel movies..the certificate says 12 and above..im not usually one to moan and i know these kind of movies are just pure fantasy but come on we need a good bit of acting and a half descent storyline..which this movie showed neither.. word is captain america will be alongside the likes of thor and iron man in the new avengers movie next year hes going to have to up his game if hes to compete with the big boys..because at the momment hes little to soft round the edges..

This is by far the best Marvel comic book film of the year, a fantastic movement from comic to screen, Chris Evans is pretty perfect in the lead role and brings allot to the character, Hugo weaving is absolutely brilliant as the villain red skull making him the most awesome villain in movies 2011 hands down!! The story is clever and the ending is very set up for the forth coming Avengers in 2012. And the special effects are very good too, red skulls make-up is fantastic! This stands out much more than any marvel film ever made probably because its more real and down to earth. A must see for any comic fan!!

Captain America makes its long awaited return to the big screen, and this time it actually works! Marvel Comics has finally gotten back on track and has brought a solid and entertaining film.
The story like most superhero flicks is a simple one, it's not hard to follow but it's not dull so don't worry about boredom.
Chris Evans works well as the hero, he's a likeable character and puts on a believable performance. The support cast are quite good as well, Tommy Lee Jones has the comical lines and its sure to get you chuckling.
The weak area is the villain, you don't really get to know him, he hardly seems a main factor in the story and goes away a little too quickly.

Overall: Captain America gets a thumbs up, it's an enjoyable movie which will be sure to entertain the masses. It could've been better but still does the trick.

from iron man ending we all knew of the avengers movie and knew there had to be captain america on it way , with thor , iron man , hulk all giving us snippets leading up to avengers also captain america we had the shield in iron man 1 and 2 , we saw him frozen in ice in deleted scene of the hulk and now it came the first avenger . with chris evans turning the role down twice before finally accepting to take on the Cap , was he the perfect role ? the answer is yes from the offset it starts of with a small man steve rogers who just wants to join the war , not for power , money , fame but bullies , as he finally gets in with many attempts and is set up for the project to turn him into the hero , once that kicks off its not what he expects after about 20 min of him becoming cap the action kicks in with amazing effects and humour . hugo weaving does well as the red skull who has the power of the cube which he saw at end of thor and with cap and his fellow soldiers is set on quest to destroy red skull and his army . finally we all seen thor , hulk , captain america and iron man now is the time for the avengers movie . just hope it lives up to what we have been shown about the avengers in the other marvel movies . can chris evans pull of leading the team ? only time well tell
