As an adult sometimes cartoons don't work the same as when we were children. Shrek one and two were exceptions to this rule. But having loved those two films the third and forth really lost the humour, so with that said I was a little unsure of how Puss in Boots would fair. EXCELLENT, that is all I can say- I've seen it twice and love every fun-filled minute. A truly classic film and happy to say (being a cat lover) a very well observed film too. Children and Adults alike will LOVE this film. Get it, Watch it, Laugh hard and Love it. :-)

  Great family entertainment!

Longtime Shrek character Puss in Boots gets his own starring role and proves that as they go, this is one spin off that ends up being more enjoyable than the last of couple of Shrek films proved to be.

Thankfully letting go of it's reliance on pop-culture gags the way the Shrek Franchise came to the sheer delight of this film is that it actually has a story and that it relies much more on traditional humour and situations than you might expect, as our hero (voiced wonderfully again by Antonio Banderas) fights to clear his name and regain his honour from a youthful event that made him the cat he is today!

Perhaps that's why I enjoyed it so much. I was expecting something like Shrek 5 almost and actually got taken in by a very nicely written, performed and well animated and made film.

Perfect for the family!

Puss In Boots is a film focusing on the story of Puss from Shrek. As far as Kids films go this is a good effort. Theres some impressive graphics, some funny moments and some suitable voice overs. Before we tear shreds out of the story lets remember this is aimed at kids and considering this is set in the Fairy Tale world of Shrek the story is okay. The pace and length of the film is about right. I think this would entertain kids from 4-5 up to 10-11 and probably even older!! Overall an entertaining effort. Overall its probably worth 3 stars but for a kids film i would say 4 stars!
