Universal Soldier: Regeneration

Forget the TERRIBLE Back to back TV follow ups and The Return.This is the Franchise back on track,with a decent story and great action scenes and effects.The only thing I will say against it though is not enough scenes with Lungren and Jean together,Van Damme is in it all the way through where as if youre buying this on the strength of Lungren he has very few scenes in the film,dont be put off though.Its been a lifetime since either of these two have made anything better.,we could however be seeing all that change with both appearing in Stallones Expendables and Van-Dammes brilliant JCVD.Anyhoo!buy this.

This is a very cool film! Its been a long time since the original and the actors have aged somewhat but that does not stop the two icons of the franchise coming back and kicking major butt! Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren were very good and the new unisol Andrei Arlovski was a great character too! The film has got a brilliant budget and is filled with lots of action scenes and massive scale shootouts and explosions and fighting, everything you expect! The story is very good too. In many ways this film is better than the original, certainly better than the first sequel that was made, you can look over that and think of this as the official sequel instead! Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren dont meet in the movie until the last 20mins but its worth the wait when they do because its clash of the titans once again in a very cool fight scene! If your a big fan you wont be disapointed with this its a proper continuation of the story at last with a quality budget.

This is a great sequel to the original film. Van Damme is more sinister and out of control. Heavily made up to start as well! Dolph Lundgren makes a late appearance and surprises you with a complete switch. The fight scene between the 2 is amazing and long! Not over in 2 secs like most films these days. Andrei Arlovski will be a bright star if he plays the film industry right. Smooth and fluid, he looks great throughout the film. Watch out for the leap, it was filmed with NO crash mats or boxes. Breath taking.

this is a must for all Van Damme,Dolph lungren fans or anyone who has seen Universal Soilder before even though the settings are much different,European style and locations its the better of the sequels made and is more in line with the frist film.
Both actors show they've aged both give good perfomances,Van Damme in my veiw was outstanding but is it worth waiting for a showdown? definely yes it is, but the new guy Andrei Arlovski was also very impressive.
A film i really enjoyed about whole new concepts to the uni sol and its much more serious and can be quite bloody and gorey at times,i found it quite hard hitting,there are some real nasty killings as soilders try to save children hostages from re-programed Uni-sols.Overall Brillant film 9/10

Nice to see Lungdren back he was a great character in the original but this is another pointless sequel. Its entertaining just for the fighting and action though. I think Van Damme and Lungdren look too old for these films now they should stick to roles that suite there age more. Would have been interesting to see Lundgren fight Andrei Arlovski since there both tall guys and baddies but Lundgren only appears in it for a short time. Over all its slightly better than Return but only just.
