In the year 2257, a planet-sized vessel of supreme evil is hurtling towards the earth with relentless speed, threatening to exterminate every living organism in its path. It has been left to the ex-marine and unlikely taxi-driving hero Korben Dallas (Willis) to reunite the four stones that represent the elements - Earth, Air, Water and Fire with the mysterious Fifth Element to unleash the only power that will save the Earth. Joined on his mission by the intriguing Leeloo (Jovovich) and Priest Vito Cornelius (Holm), Dallas must retrieve the elements from the beautiful Diva aboard the luxury cruise ship, the Fhlotsin Paradise.

In the 23rd century, Earth is threatened by the ultimate evil, and our only hope lies in the Fifth Element. There are plenty of jaw dropping visuals in this fast paced shoot-em-up. Gary Oldman is the one who really steals the show, but Willis and Jovovich come across well too. Chris tucker, while mostly completely over the top, is still hilarious at times. All in all it's a rollercoaster film that is great fun. You really don't care who wins at the end, your only in it for the ride.

I'm now beginning to think Luc Besson is somewhat of a cinematic genius, his films invoke such passion while remaining intensively stylish and exciting.
And The fifth Element is no exception, Once you get around from admiring the scenery what you happen to find is a tireless effort of beautiful proportions.
Bruce Willis is a down on his luck New York taxi driver who gets dropped a fair that will change his life for ever.
The world is at it's end, supreme evil is set to destroy every living organism which inhabits Earth, unless the four elements ( Earth, Wind, Fire and water ) combined with the mysterious fifth element can be brought together to create the only weapon to destory this threat.
I'm not going to write who acted brilliantly in this becase to be perfectly honest everyone did, truly superb,
a must watch film.

Highly Enjoyable Sci Fi movie, with loads of Visual Style and Stunning SFX.
Acting wise Bruce Willis looks and acts cool through out, taking the whole thing in his stride.
Mila Jovich starts of looking odd and cold, but by the end of the movie she becomes very likable
Gary Oldman is perfect as the OTT Bad Guy, but Chris Tucker IS very annoying.
The Direction is very Catchy and Energetic by Luc Besson who also directed the Classic movie Leon.
The Special Effects still look top notch 13 years later, the Set Designs and Costumes are Imaginative and Colourful.
The story line is Interesting and Absorbing, the action sequences are OTT but very Entertaining.
The film is a bit strange in parts, can't really explain why, maybe the humour. But that's not really a bad thing.
To Sum up The 5th Element is A fun Sci Fi romp, that doesn't take itself too seriously. Well worth catching.
FACT.A lot of people mistake this move to be a Big American Studio Movie when in fact it is a Big French Studio movie, which makes a nice change.
