Bruce Nolan (Carrey) is a newscaster unhappy with his lot. As one disaster follows another Bruce is fired from his TV station and beaten up by a gang of thugs. Furious, Bruce rails and rages against God who challenges him to take on the big job and see if he can do any better.
Once Bruce convinces himself that he's not dreaming, he proceeds to utilise his infinite powers now at his disposal for his own amusement and advantage. Finally, he finds himself at a crossroads: to become the biggest and most powerful jerk in the universe or find a little bit of humanity...

I think this is comedy at it's best. I think this film is really funny even though normally I have a strange sense of humour.
This film is probably better than Evan Almighty because of the fact that Evan is really aimed more at a younger audience whilst this is for all of the ages above.
Great film (:

What can I say? Bruce Almighty is so cool. No one on this planet does funny like Jim Carrey. And who else but Morgan Freeman could ever play God? Its such a funny film and I swear you will laugh out loud. But like all films with a God theme in it, (even comedys) it has a serious side to it too. There are times where you will laugh your ass off, but there is also parts that really make you think, especailly close to the end of the film. The film is really clever in the sense that you will cry with laughter and after watching it, you will have a warm fuzzy feeling.
Hilarious

I remember not being able to stop laughing in the cinema when Bruce makes Evan say all that stupid nonsense stuff. Now I have matured, and laugh at that part as well as all of the other jokes. Not the sort of movie I'd go for generally, but I'm glad I saw it, it's so funny.
