Home Alone: Eight-year-old Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin) has become the man of the house, overnight! Accidentally left behind when his family rushes off on a Christmas vacation, Kevin gets busy decorating the house for the holidays. But he's not decking the halls with tinsel and holly. Two bumbling burglars are trying to break in, and Kevin's rigging a bewildering battery of booby traps to welcome them!

Home Alone 2 - Lost In New York: Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin) is back. But this time he's in New York City - with enough cash and credit cards to turn the Big Apple into his own playground! But Kevin won't be alone for long. The notorious Wet Bandits, Harry and Marv (Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern), still smarting from their last encounter with Kevin, are bound for New York too, plotting a huge holiday heist.

Home Alone 3: International crooks hide a top-secret computer chip inside a toy car, but an airport mix-up lands it in the hands of eight-year-old Alex Pruitt, who's home alone with the chicken pox. Madness and mayhem kick into high gear as the pint-sized hero defends his house against the bumbling bad guys, armed with an outrageous array of ambushes and booby traps.

Home Alone 4: Kevin McCallister's parents have split up. Now living with his mom, he decides to spend Christmas with his dad at the mansion of his father's rich girlfriend, Natalie. Meanwhile robber Marv Merchants partners up with a new criminal to hit Natalie's mansion with only Kevin left inside to fend them off in any devious and destructive way he can!

It could be argued the original was the best and certainly Home Alone has become a Christmas Film never forgotton as one of the top films of this time....Kevin McCallister's famous exploits whilst he had been left behind at home or forgotton by his family as they made their way to Paris during the Christmas holiday will always be remembered as the festive tree topper of it's time...In an almost Panto-esque storyline there could be no better villains to steal the limelight as the "Wet Bandits" or common house burglars than Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern....what follows is Kevins attempts to thwart their burgling of his house whilst he is home alone with some ingenious methods.....This can be hilarious in parts with a light hearted approach for the young at heart.....The sequels are entertaining but not as good as the original but in saying this once you watch the first you'll find it hard not to follow up out of sheer curiousity...Also stars Catherine O'Hara as Kevins concerned mother and John Heard as his father, with a cameo role played by the late John Candy....Top Rated seasonal entertainment for all the family.......

The Christmas season is creeping up on us once more and is there really any better way to get in the Christmas spirit than watching the Christmas Classic it has become - Home Alone

In fairness 3 & 4 never have and never will live up to 1 & 2 cos they have not got M.C. who makes them what they are.

They are as much as part of Christmas as mince pies and christmas pudding

 Bought for nostalgia's sake!

When I was a child 'Home Alone' was one of the first films I really remeber enjoying, and it was for this reason that I decided to buy this boxset.

Number 1 & 2 and great films that will make you laugh out loud whilst still giving a subtle tone of a truly heartwarming story.

Number 3 is not a bad threequell and still makes me laugh with its still funny pranks on the customary stupid bad guys.

However number 4 was cringe worthy, and it was for this reason I could not sit through the monstrosity. The budget could not have been more than £500.
