Described as one of the most shocking films of all time!! This is Lucio Fulci classic supernatural living dead movie in all its glory uncut with loads of cult classic bloody gore!! The story is very weird especially the ending but very good, great cast, good music score, if you love 80's horror then this is a must own!!

city of the living dead is a fulci classic.having been a fulci fan since i see this in 1980 its clear to see why he was master of horror films .most of his films had weak screenplays and didnt make sense most of the time but when you throw everything together including some truly breathtaking special make up effects provided by the ever present gino de rossi it always seemed to work no matter how bad the story was.it is easy to see why this film was banned in the 1980s but 30 yrs on this film still holds strong.and now his films are seen in different light thank god and for the fact that the bbfc are better organized we can really appreciate how good fulci was.this film has the usual zombies.wild set pieces and top notch special effects and cosidering it was made 30 yrs ago and without cgi you can really see how much effort went in to the make up effects.the reason his films are still very much in demand is because in todays horror films its mostly cgi and not so many buckets of blood like the old days.there are 2 other films that fulci did whch you need to see are zombie flesh eaters(uncut) and conquest which is only available on region 1 but are both unmissable

This is my own personal favourite Fulci horror movie, it has everything a horror fan could possibly want from a classic old school horror film.Atmosphere, a great score, zombies, maggots, rats, skeletons &, of course, bucketfuls of gore! You wanna see graphic depictions of gut spewing, brains ripped from skulls, heads being drilled open? It's all in Lucio Fulci's classic 1980 gorefest City of the Living Dead.Buy it! It's an essential addition to any horror fans DVD/BD library.
